Another wonderful piece from JBL. Great for personal use like in room, pool or beach. I like the new shape with their new big logo on it. Clear sound with awesome bass. Its not very handy like flip which you can easily carry in any small bag. Its really wort to buy. I have just got it two days so cant say anything about battery. But hoping it will be good.
I’ve been using this JBL portable Bluetooth speaker for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best audio devices I own. The sound is rich, clear, and surprisingly powerful for its compact size. The bass is deep and punchy, which is especially impressive for a portable speaker. Whether you’re indoors or outside, the audio holds up without distortion even at higher volumes. Battery performance is excellent. I can get a full day’s use on a single charge depending on volume levels. The battery indicator is easy to read and keeps me from being caught off guard. Pairing via Bluetooth is quick and easy. The dedicated Bluetooth button makes connection management simple. I haven’t experienced any signal drop or lag during use. The build feels rugged and premium. The rubberized ends and fabric mesh offer durability and grip. It’s water-resistant, which gives peace of mind when using it poolside or in unpredictable weather. The side radiators are a stylish touch and also show the power of the bass visually. The top control panel is intuitive, with clearly marked buttons for power, Bluetooth, volume, playback, and party mode (JBL Connect). The tactile feedback is solid, and the buttons are spaced out well. It’s compact enough to toss into a backpack, and its sturdy construction makes it perfect for outdoor use—camping, beach trips, or backyard hangouts. If you’re looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers on audio quality, battery life, and durability, this JBL model is a top-tier choice. It balances performance with rugged design beautifully. Highly recommended for both casual listeners and audiophiles on the go.
Bought one and liked it to a point that I bought another to have a pair that will provide the best sound quality for the size of my home studio. I had 4 speakers that took up wall space. It now cleared up wall space where I can use to hang plaques and pictures.
Its a great speaker, sound good. Loud enough but not annoyingly loud. The up to 20 hours of playtime is a big stretch, but it does last longer than alot of of other speakers i've had. It connects to my phone as soon as i turn it on. Price tag is not bad
I have been waiting for this speaker for a week, and I got a poor-quality speaker when I opened it. This JBL Charge 5 Speaker is a counterfeit speaker!! The package shows "charce 5" instead of "charge 5". I am sure this is a fraud and malicious seller trying to sell the phony speaker, and I am pretty unsatisfied with this experience!!
My JBL speaker was not authentic. I took pictures of it to compare with the authentic charge 5 JBL that I thought I was buying. Totally different! I thought I was purchasing this from Walmart website so I didn’t think I would have any issues. This speaker had JBL stickers peeling off. This one got sent back. Pictures attached
Absolute horrible experience, received speaker with missing products didn’t look brand new at all. Box didn’t have original tape on side almost as if it was tampered with before shipping. Photo can show how product was suppose to be received (grey speaker) and how I received mine (red speaker). Went to Walmart to switch it out for a new unopened one, was accused of taking product and was unable to switch at store was only given a “e-gift card”. I am a fellow Walmart associate and completely left disgusted with this whole transaction.
FAKE - came as the “Charce 5” instead of the charge 5. I have a charge 5 and this was the second one I purchased, not the same thing. Half the weight, had JBL stamped on one side of the speaker, real charge does not. Super disappointed that Walmart would back this product. Blue is the true JBL, black is the fake I received.
The box did not indicate it was a JBL product. Had "CHARCE5" instead of it being a "JBL CHARGE5". When I opened the box the JBL stickers were coming off and sticking together. It did not have any charging cords or correspondence inside just came in a plastic cover. Would definitely give this item ZERO stars if possible.
Do not buy! This came from a third party seller and it was obviously a knock off! The box was labeled “charce 5” instead of charge and the JBL sign on the speaker is obviously just super glued on. Do not buy, it’s a fake.
