JBL Charge Essential 2, Portable Waterproof Speaker with Powerbank

It is an excellent little speaker. It helps if the machine you have it linked to has an equalizer so you can adjust the sound how you want it. It is not super to use to watch videos as it has a split second delay between the sound and the image but that is the issue with all Bluetooth speakers it seems. For listening to music or audio books it is outstanding.

This JBL speaker is an awesome powerful little speaker! I use it all the time out at the pool or when i am grilling. It is loud and crystal clear when I blast some OZZY!!

Unbelievable sound from a small speaker. You can blast it and have no distortion. Charge lasts for 20 hours of play. Can't go wrong buying one of these!!!!

Fantastic sound, easy blue tooth connectivity. Big sound for a smaller portable devise. Happy I bought mine. Wishing I had bought to when the sale was on.

Sometimes ----- Good things do come in small packages. Very, Very impressed with this portable speaker. Phenomenal Bass reproduction and crystal clear highs as well. JBL has another home run here.

This “smallish” speaker, has a great sound and enough power to entertain the whole back yard, patio/pool area. It delivers great performance in the entire sound range (deep bass is not the goal here) and good battery life. Based on our experience, we are happy to have made this purchase .

We love this sound box. We use it to her music or audio books espacially our children. The connection with smartphone is easy and smart. I like the sound. It is enough for a room with a few people in. Even the bass is also good by hearing music. The battery is strong enough for hearing music a few days. I would recommend the box for hearing music in a good quality for a good party (even outside) or using it for a lot hearing sessions.

I bought the JBL Charge Essential 2 about a month ago. Overall, I am very happy with that device as it suits to almost every space, and you can use it indoors, outdoors, and even if it is wet outside. I used it in several situations like woodworking, car repair, or being out with friends. Let's get to business. The loudspeaker does what it should. The Bluetooth connectivity is amazing. Around 20 meters with my phone in the pocket it did not loose the connection. The pairing process is as with most other devices. The design is great and simple you find the necessary buttons on top, the charging connector, and the USB slot for charging secondary devices, which you might have with you, is at the back behind a rubber sealed cover. Most of the time you will connect it with your mobile, but it does not come with any app to adjust some settings. Within this price range it is ok for me but using your mobiles equalizer will also change your personal settings, which you maybe use with other devices. As known from JBL devices the bass is a bit too much. I had to adjust the mid tones and high ones in the eq to get the best results out of it. The possible volume is impressive. You can turn it so loud, that speaking with someone is no longer possible 😉 As it comes with a power bank the device is quite heavy. It is like an extra bottle of water in your backpack. Summarized I don´t regret buying this. It has its specific purpose. It gets 4 of 5 as the missing app and the sound performance does not meet my personal preferences. I think if you buy a device which comes with a mobile app, it is even more interesting.

Great product, well made. Doesn't have a great bass sound though. Misses out on the low sounds which really loses while watching movies or listening to music.

Doesn't pair with other jbl speakers. Felt like we were tricked. Apparently this model is not supposed to pair with other speakers.
