JBL Flip Essential 2, Portable Waterproof Speaker

Am a noob in BT speakers, I always prefer hearing pleasant melodious voice (vocals), don't like the heavy beats. If you love listening to good pure vocals, this is worth it, was going for the JBL Flip 7 but this low priced JBL Flip Essential 2 stole my heart. This is a beautiful product for Vocal music listeners with alright beats. This is some magic for ears, 10/10 for sweet vocals.

The sound quality on this speaker is amazing. It sounds like you are listening to a full size speaker. The battery last a long time. I did a 9 hole golf course 4 times around and the speaker was only missing one light. It was about 4-5 hours of playing music straight. While walking to the ball from shot to shot I didn't lose connection to the speaker the whole time. I would purchase this speaker again and recommend this speaker to everyone to buy.

This is the 3rd JBL speaker I've owned. On all of them I have been very impressed for the sound quality as related to the cost. Paid $70 for this one. It has a very clear sound and a bit more bass than my Flip 4. I've used it for about a month. I do wish JBL would add this to the speakers supported by the JBL Portable app. I've used that app to make some changes on the Flip 4 and I am disappointed that this speaker is not supported.

I couldn't pass up this doorbuster special to get this high quality, great sounding speaker for 50% off. One of the best deals ever especially since my old bluetooth speaker could no longer hold a charge. Great timing.

I expected more volume and charge doesn't last as long as advertised. But it puts out enough if it's a group sitting under an umbrella on the beach just don't expect to hear it at a pickleball game

The speaker felt like it was made very well, and for the brief time I was able to use it, the sound quality was good. I quickly realized the buttons were not working so I was unable to control the volume from the speaker. Also, I was unable to put the speaker into pair mode to connect to another device. I ended up returning this product for a refund. Had the buttons on the speaker functioned properly, I would have given it 5 stars for its size, solid feel and sound quality. For what it's worth, this was my first return of a Sam's Club purchase, and I had zero problems getting a refund.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The flip essential 2 is not essential. I was hoping to see some type of improvement on this item, being it looked like a newer different model of the Flip 5. It was not. Mostly, all the functionality and performance were the same. The one thing that was worse is the battery life. On the box, it states 10 hours of performance but at what performance level. I had the essential 2 connected via Bluetooth and at 75% volume for around 3 hours, and it died. Talk about a party foul. Fortunately, I had a power outlet close by. Not an experience I would want again nor product I would take with me to an long event. After all that, I will say that the performance of this speaker is awesome. Great sound and Bluetooth range for a minimumal amount of time.

The sound isn't as clear as my last speaker; it sounds a bit canned. Also, it cuts out during use, at least once or more depending how long I use it and I have to restart it.

I was really looking forward to the sound box. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. The tube looks very high-quality, which is also noticeable in the weight. The bass membranes that can be felt on the left and right indicate rich bass and the length and weight also suggest top sound. Unfortunately, this is not the case, the sound is very pale and the bass is almost non-existent. I don't know why the bass is so flat and clacking, but there is a clear reason for the sound itself, because only one small speaker is installed. It has to be said that the sound is better than that of a mobile phone and the tube is indestructible, neither water nor dust can harm us. The tube also absorbs shocks very well

I have bought this last month . As it's written 10hrs playback time . But when I have used it battery working only 2-3 hrs.
