The JBL Live 660NC unboxing caused me a good first impression from the beginning. I've been happy since the day I've received it. It was easy to connect to your devices (up to 2 at the same time), you get the sound notification on every interaction you do with the headphone when turning on, adjusting the volumes, connecting, and disconnecting to Bluetooth. It's highly recommended you download "My JBL Headphones" so it can support you with extra features such as setting up your Google Assistant or Alexa. Benefits of installing the app: - See on each of the options what it does which is an advantage as it might be not clear what that functionality does. - You can easily set up the Auto-off fafter15min/30min/1h/2h/3h/4h of inactivity or set it to "never" - Play & Pause automation - music and videos pauses and resumes automatically when you take off the headphones and put them back on. - Voice Assistant - Choose between Google Assistant or Alexa Product help - Containing all tips and FAQ to help you to get to know the headphone a little bit more. And for me, one of the most important check if the firmware is up to date (basically is the software that has all the features, when you update it, it sometimes fix issues and bring new functionalities. ANC (Ambient Sound Control) - 2 odes (Noise Cancelling, Ambient Aware) TalkThru when you need to talk with someone without taking off the headset. When you connect to a laptop via Bluetooth pay attention to select between "JBL Live660NC Stereo" and "JBL Live660NC Hands-free AG-audio" when you see that a sound does not work in one it means that specific audio has been recorded on mono or stereo. For bigheads like me, the pressure on your head can disturb but nothing to causing pain, with a couple of days it will lose a bit and it will continue to be comfortable. I felt they are very lightweight with a good cushion on the ears and it's a great gadget to buy!
I listen to a lot of music on the go-at the gym, jogging or on my commute to work so a decent set of headphones are a must. These tick all the right boxes. I find noise cancelling headphones can be heavy but not these. They are light enough to be worn when I jog without any neck issues (I have previously experienced this with other brands). The app makes customising these to my personal preferences simple and they always connect first time. Top notch.
These headphones sound absolutly fantastic. The app EQ is very effective and makes them versatile. The bass is deep and rich while being super tight. One thing to know is that they tend to be bass heavy out of the box.I boosted the mids a bit to make the voice clearer and the sound is now perfectly balanced for me. I came from beats solo 3 and let me tell you the sound quality is not even comparable. I would rate the sound a 4.5/5. That said, there a 2 cons that i found on these cans. The clamping force is a bit tight for big heads. It doesn't make them uncomfortable by any means, but it certainly is noticeable. Second, the ANC works just OK. It blocks around 75% of the sound but you can still hear what is going on around you. Overall, these are well worth it and you can't go wrong buying them. The sound quality is great and the battery life is also amazing.
At the very beginning of use, it made a low buzzing noise, but it went away after about a week - not sure what the issue was. Personally, it's a little too tight on my ears and head, thus it starts to hurt after prolonged use. Compared to the other headphones I've used, these provide much more detail, including panning of the instruments! I thought I was very familiar with a song, but after listening to it again with theses headphones, I was surprised to find out there was panning involved! It provides very good quality sound. Getting the charging wire out from my pc port was a violent ordeal, I was afraid it would get stuck..
I received this headset a couple of days ago and so far they really have impressed me the smart features work really well and the noise cancelling application on this works perfectly. I am a large tech nerd and these headphones come with so many cool little features such as the way they pause the music when you take the headset off your ears and continue it when you place them back on. so far I am really impressed with these headphones and would highly recommended them.
I have only had these about a week now. headphones are pretty cool. I love how they pause and un pause when taking off and on. The noise cancelling is brilliant. Sound and quality is quite amazing. Just 1 problem......when turned up to the highest volume they start to crackle.
Had this product for a week so far and delighted. The noise cancelling is really impressive and sound quality excellent. I've found this so helpful when working from home and having to make calls whilst having young children in the house. Comfortable to wear and easy to use the function buttons, even whilst on the go.
Okay, so this review came out of necessity. I bought a Tune 750 and the website did not mentioned that those are not compatible with microsoft based communication software. Hence, I bought these headphones, wich STILL not advertised as desktop based communications software compatible, but they work. Apart of this small fiasco, these (Live 660) headphones are amazing so far. The sound is very nice, the battery life is excellent, and also the telephone capability. The added features like headphone tapping for google assist is a nice feature, for whoever using it. The ANC setups are super great, altho I found the talk-through a bit unnecessary, I just simply remove the headphones if someone wants to talk to me :) The headset's earcup is a bit small, my ear doesn't fit inside of it ( this was a real let down coimg from the Tune 750, they are the same size), and if I'm not mistaken, this is not interchangeable, like the other brands. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, but for this kid of money, a hardcase would be handy, and the shortcomings could've been addressed ( like the interchangeable ear pad)
The sound is good, but I do not recommend it because the quality of the material is not resistant, I have the headphone for 6 months and the plastic parts to adjust the headphone are already broke so you can see the cable parts of it and because the cable its exposed they constantly turn off and do not fir my ears properly anymore. I have been careful with them but they did not make passed the 6 months of use.
I don't know how you could mess up this horribly. To start off you didn't even design them to protect against the wind whistling so you get these brutal noises while walking around with them. Secondly the ANC is absolutely garbage, all it does is play an off quiet noise in the background and base boost the actual music itself. I think the worst part about these headphones would be that at their max volume they PEAK how do you mess up that horribly! This is the last JBL product I buy. Ever.
