This thing is very bright and the music detection algorithm works quite well and provides a lot of variety. The APP is also very helpful in setting the look that you want without a lot of hassle. The lights connect to the phone quickly every time. Depending on the size of the room you might want to get two or more. I got one at first but thought it wasn't doing enough in my space. Two cover a lot more area and provide plenty of light. I would also recommend using a fog machine with these for maximum effect. The white light beams are really neat and create some cool patterns wherever they hit, but they really shine with some fog. They are also designed very nicely and don't have the industrial "best kept of sight" most other party lights have. Most party lights look like they belong in the rafters or trussing of a club environment, not out next to your nice furniture. JBL should also make these in white so they fit into more decor options.

This is a fantastic piece of kit! It came in a compact box, initially giving me the impression it wouldn't be up to much. How wrong was I! This compact party beam is truly fantastic. After downloading the JBL Partybox app, I was able to sync the beam perfectly with the Partybox Club 120 (also by JBL). The light show it created was truly incredible, with various different options available on the app. The angle of the lights can be altered simply by rotating the beam. There are a selection of colours, brightness speeds and effects, meaning you are fully in control of the atmosphere you want to create. I find the partybeam works really well with other JBL speakers, but it can also be used as a stand-alone product. The partybeam looked like a professional piece of kit, despite its compact size. The lights feel well protected, which can sometimes be an issue. My only minor gripe is that the beam has to be plugged in at all times, which means it's not as portable as the speaker which I used it with! Overall, this is a great addition to the JBL range. It's definitely worth the money, and most definitely provides the wow factor at any party!

The JBL PartyLight Beam is just fun, plain and simple. I like that you can adjust the brightness depending on the room — super handy if you don't want it blinding you in a smaller space. Pairing it with my JBL speaker was a breeze, and once it's synced, the lights match up with the speaker which looks really cool. Honestly, it just makes the whole vibe way better without me having to do much.

This is a brilliant addition to your JBL Partybox experience, even on its own its a great addition to any party but it comes into its own when you connect it to the JBL Partybox app, you can control it from here and sync it to your Partybox so that it works in unison with the music and changes colours and pulses in time with the beat.

I was lucky enough to try this light beam, it's great quality, stylish and sturdy, it's easy to use and set up via the jbl app. The Beam has changing multi coloured lights that flash in different patterns, it's great for parties, but I think it would be better if it rotated instead of being stationary,

I've been trying out the partylight for a bit now. The lighting is vivid and colorful, casting dynamic patterns that quickly make the space feel more energetic. When paired with a PartyBox speaker, the sync feature creates a great atmosphere, and even on its own the built-in mic lets the lights follow the music pretty well. The build feels solid and it's lightweight, but since it doesn't have a built-in battery you'll need to keep it plugged in, which limits where you can place it. It's also not splash-proof, so best to keep it indoors. On the downside: the effects lose some impact in bright rooms, and the mic sync isn't always perfectly on beat. Still, in darker settings it really adds to the party vibe and works best when paired with other JBL lighting gear.

I grabbed the JBL Party Light Beam for a couple of loose get-togethers and you know what? The colours are punchy, the motion feels alive, and it responds to music in a jittery way that should make an otherwise quiet night feel like something is happening. It's not over-the-top, which I like — it doesn't feel too out of place in a smaller space without being a full club light. That being said, I really do wish it was a tad more portable. The JBL PartyLight Beam is such a fun bit of kit! The colours are super bright and lively, and it really brings the party vibe together when the music's on. It's simple to set up, feels well made, and the different light modes keep it from getting boring. The only thing that lets it down a bit is that it's not wireless or chargeable so you've always got to keep it plugged into a plug socket, which can be a bit of a faff if you want to move it around, other than that though, it does exactly what you'd want and makes any get together feel way more fun.

I think this is great to add to the party box. The party box alone light isn't enough so this is a very clear and nice party light. Used this at a house party and it was great. Connected to the app and the party box with no hassle. There are 2 types of lights, circles/spotlights and waves or clear colours. They connect to the party box and display the same colours so they work very well together. Great small size but very strong beam

Straight out of the box, it's obvious that this JBL PartyLight Beam can take any light jamming session to the next level. Setting it up was simple, as the quick start guide included made the whole process straightforward. The actual light itself is a spectacle ; it's able to provide a bit of flair to your experience which can really set the tone for any party or listening experience. Not only that, but with no real alternatives on the market, this item helps provide the closest ‘nightclub at home' vibe which only JBL can really offer. Furthermore, the use of the Auracast mode , specific to only the latest JBL Party tech, can sync the lightshow provided by the PartyLight Beam to the music playing from a PartyBox. This tends to work well in most scenarios, but occasionally the lighting can be slightly delayed and out of sync with what is being played from the PartyBox. Additionally, despite its miniature size which can allow for it to be placed in a corner unnoticed, I feel like JBL missed something by opting for this model to be plugged in at all times. In other words, no it does not have a rechargeable battery, which I know will be disappointing to most. Overall, however, I do believe this was a good move from JBL because it allows them to offer a party experience like no other, and so I strongly recommend you purchase this item!
