Like the fit

Teacher1947 July 9, 2026

I purchased this headset to replace a headset I had been using for 5 years. I called JBL to help me find exactly what I wanted. I use a headset with boom mic to teach online classes. This headset fits much better than my previous 5 year-old JBL headset. The controls are placed a little differently so my muscle memory has to adjust. Everything is working fine.

Connect every time without any issues I returned another brand because the connectivity was horrible. Awesome sound and fit, I am happy and that is all that matters

Versatile Gaming Headset

JoshuaM June 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like these headphones. They have that warm JBL sound with a nice bit of bass. What really stands out to me is the versatility of these headphones compared to other gaming headsets. Because they have the JBL sound they're great not just for gaming but movies and music as well. If you need one set for work, play, and relaxing I would recommend these. I like the removable battery though I'm not sure you could buy a second which would sort of defeat the purpose imo. Though the battery life is really good. Now as solely gaming headphones these are good. They have great spacial surround sound, though I think it might have a tad too much warmth/bass to be as great as other gaming headsets. I can hear where footsteps and firing is coming from in COD and they sound even better in racing and narrative games! The build quality is very nice and feels much better than previous JBL headsets and they're light. No discomfort imo. Both Bluetooth and wireless connectivity are very quick and accurate and easy to setup. And controls are easy to use once you remember where they are.

You'll Forget You're Wearing Headphones - Trust Me

AdonisC May 12, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the chance to try the JBL Quantum 650X Wireless gaming headphones and let me tell you - amazing! They're not heavy at all - they're actually pretty light. They're very comfortable - they don't hurt after long periods of wearing them like some other headphones. The ear cups are super soft not annoying at all. Another cool thing about the ear cups is that the ears turn inwards - so if you have a case for headphones, it makes it easy for storage when travelling. There are buttons and knob-wheels on the side to control the main volume, the music-to-effects balance, and a mute button for the mic. One of the things that I like about the microphone is that it's got a long arm - so your opponents will have no trouble hearing you because it's right by your mouth. But the greatest thing to me about the mic is that it's detachable. So if you don't wanna have it on - you just pop it off super easy. It seems to have really good battery power - I haven't had to charge mine at all after multiple uses - so no worries if you're an all-day gamer. And finally - the sound! The sound is super impressive. JBL is always great with sound. These are't standard stereo. The box says it's Hi-Res Audio - and honestly, it sounds like you're in there whatever you're playing. For a moment I questioned if I had the headphones on because it sounded so realistic to me. The bass and mid-range sound really good, and the coolest part is - you can customize the Equalizer to your preference. I literally love that feature! Overall - I'd give these a 9.5 out of 10. Comfort's great, sound is great. The only thing I struggled with was initially setting them up. I was trying to connect them via Bluetooth in the settings of both my Xbox Series X and my PS5 and failed to get sound to come through. It wasn't until I connected the included orange USB dongle into the console's USB port that I got sound. The sound came through instantly at that point - but the instructions that came with the headphones unfortunately didn't make it clear that that's what I needed to do - so it took me a good 25 minutes of hitting a brick wall to figure out how to get these bad boys working. But all in all - they're awesome and I'd definitely recommend.

The most comfortable!

AmyC May 11, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones are sooo comfortable. The elastic mesh band that rests on your head keeps the weight and pressure away from extended use during gaming. There is enough padding in the headphones to even make them comfortable on your ears with glasses.

Connects to.gaming.consoles easily with mic

MeghanD June 3, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable to wear and doesn't hurt the ears. Sound quality is excellent as I have grown to prefer the jbl sound. The microphone has excellent performance and doesn't pick up background sound. Easy chariging and stays charged for great game playing. Easily connects via Bluetooth which just seals the deal for overall value. Worth every penny for the top quality jbl delivers.

Very easy to use

NikD May 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones are perfect for any gamer in your life. They allow seamless, and painless wireless pairing to Xbox, Playstation, and many more. The sound quality is good, the battery life is solid, the comfort level is great. They're very light, but have very soft and comfortable earpads that don't fatigue my ears even after hours of use.

Quality Headphones with lots of percs

TeraunS May 12, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these headphones. They do a great job of giving a balanced sound for any type of game/media I put it through. It's actually flat to the point where they're not bad producing with. The cool thing I like about them is that I can get a more punchy sound by using the EQ setup that comes in the app. They're also very comfortable. It's almost like these things hug your head. I like having them on because they're the perfect balance weight wise. My only reason for taking off one star was the material of the cloth cushion. They look cool but if you wear glasses, you'll hear them squeak. Other than that, everything else is great.

Attractive, quality audio mid-price headset for ga

MarionG May 12, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A solid set of wireless headphones, this Quantum 650X delivers the kind of audio quality that I have come to expect from JBL with rich bass, crisp highs and full mids. Pairing can be a bit tricky depending on what system you're using these with but once you get set up the rest is simple. The complementing app allows you to set custom levels. Charging is interesting, with a small magnetized compartment holding the battery, which can be easily removed for charging. They look pretty slick as well. The microphone is modular and easy to remove when not necessary, in contrast to other mic headsets with permanently fixed mic. All in all, a solid mid-price option for gamer audio.

Quality, comfortable all-around headphones for mus

JohnO May 3, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted a pair of over-the-ear headphones for a while, so I was stoked to get my hands on the JBL Quantum 650X. I have a lot of JBL products that I've picked up over the years, from home to car audio, BT speakers, & earbuds. Out of the Box: The 650X came with a cool purple charging/direct connect cable, a USB C to A adapter, and a wireless adapter. The battery comes with the 650X, but not installed, showing it can be swapped or replaced. Having replaceable parts is a really good feature to ensure long term use. The mic also comes detached and is easy to plug in. Comfort & Fit (9/10): The 650X fit very well and are comfortable for prolonged use. I've worn them for hours around the house while working on various things and had no issues with them slipping or feeling too tight. Sound Quality & Features (8/10): First off, the sound quality when listening to high res audio is terrific. However, when I downloaded the Quantum app to my iPhone 16 Pro, I was pretty disappointed in the features of the "EQ." It works like the older-style fake EQ's that don't actually let you adjust the treble, but tone down the other frequencies. It's pretty obvious, especially if you're listening to music. If you increase treble, the overall volume instantly lowers. If you then change the bass or mids in the other direction, it gets even quieter. I know these are designed for chat & gaming, so take my observations with a grain of salt. If you're gaming on a computer, you probably have an EQ with your sound card software, so this may not be a problem for everyone. For chat/business/work calls (8/10): The overall sound is good and you can swap between Game or Chat in the back of the right earphone. The mic is flexible to a certain extent, but can only be used in the left side. It is not adjustable from one side to the other. The mute button is on the bottom of the left earphone, which is inconvenient. There are 2 different audible noises to let you know whether Mute is on or off, but no light you can see while wearing the headset. My usual work headset (1/4 of the price of the 650X, albeit with lower quality sound for music) has a mic that rotates 180* so you can technically flip the head set and have the mic on the right or left or flip it up and out of the way. My work headset also has a light in the mic so you can visually see when mute is on. Most games (or Teams, etc) will indicate this, too, so this may not be an issue for everyone. Overall, these are good for a quality starter headset, but they lack some convenience features and don't compete with some of the other gaming headsets around the same MSRP. That being said, they work well for chat and calls, as well as music if you are happy w/ the Quantum EQ flat or running them from a computer with a separate EQ.
