Super impressed with these headphones. Sturdy enough for the kids to use without the risk of damage & also easily re sized. Sound quality is greatest these have been used for gaming & listening to music. You absolutely cannot hear a thing when someone is using them, great when the kids are gaming in the living room. Easily set up to the PS4. Overall very impressed - my only gripe would be the sound didn't go high enough for me whilst listening to music, great for the kids as it stops them blasting their ears off but for me personally I like to listen a little louder.
I purchased the JBL Quantum 800 noise cancelling Headset about 3 weeks ago so I have had a little time to use them These headphones sound amazing right out of the box and can be customized to suit your taste in sound. They can be used on different consoles and devices but I am currently using them on a PS4. You have to options with connection you can use them via Bluetooth using the dongle in the box which by the way which are hidden in the little white box under the actual headset packaging (I didn't know they was in the box until I read the the instructions) or you also get a aux cable incase that's what you prefer. The headset have a nice sleek design with a nice finish and led lighting which can be customised if you connect them to a pc but if you just want to take them straight out of the box then and get down to business the go right ahead. The sound quality is good and the noise cancelling is great one of them first time I used the headset I was playing took the headset off and it was Really bad Thunder which I didn't know as you can't hear a thing going on around you outside of the game you will be buried in, I was impressed with the sound as it has a 7.1 Surround sound which gives gaming the extra energy the microphone is clear and the headset was very comfortable to wear for long periods of time with a thick memory foam on the ear cups. So what I will say is move away from the turtle beach and your other Headsets and get over the to JBL because this is the best headset I've owned and I've owned a lot.
I've had them for a month now and must say I have never been more impressed in my life. First of all, they look pretty amazing, all lit up. Connecting them with pc cannot be more straightforward through the USB transmiter. Once you have them on,you are truly detached from the outside world, surround is magnificent, you can even say with precision where shooter is located.Their very snuggle fit makes not wanting to take them down during breaks. All buttons are at hand and lots of customisable features.Microphone is good and others can hear you very well and noise cancelling is well above any other i previously owned. They're well built and will last ages, not thinking of upgrading for a good while.
Easy to set up with the bluetooth dongle to my computer. Also paired well with my cellphone. The JBL 800 has fantastic sound quality. The mic is really good and loud. Like the light show on the headphones. Really love the ease of use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Top Features: 1) Connectivity Options - Bluetooth, and dongles, and aux jacks oh my! By far the coolest thing about these headphones is the range of connectivity options and how easy it is to set up them up and switch between them. I was even able to connect the USB 2.4GHz to my television to binge Netflix at night without disturbing the roommates. 2) Comfort - The 800s are super comfortable thanks to some of the softest foam I've ever felt lining the earcups and headband. Despite being relatively heavy for headphones, I've been able to wear these for long stretches without any discomfort. 3) Sound Details - Sound quality in general is great as always with JBL, but I've been particularly impressed with how clear and nuanced the sounds are in a video game context. I feel like video games are often packed with smaller sound details that are easy to miss, but the Quantum 800s really make those details stand out. Biggest Bummers: 1) PC Only for Customizations - My personal computer is a Mac so I don't have any way of accessing the customization features from QuantumEngine. This is a huge bummer as there are definitely times when I really wish I could turn off the lights. Would have been nice if at least some features could be accessed/updated via an app on my phone. 2) Weight / Bulk - relative to other wireless over-ear headphones that I've owned in the past, the Quantum 800s are definitely on the heavier side. They're also pretty bulky and don't really fold or collapse in any way that would make them a good choice for portable headphones. Like I mentioned before, they're super comfortable so the weight isn't really a negative in that regard, just something to keep in mind if you plan on hauling these around with you. Overall very happy with these headphones and would definitely recommend to any PC owners looking for solid sound quality with lots of connectivity options. OMG how can headphone technology have come so far? Super comfortable. Noise cancelling is superior to all my old ones - extremely important to me. Easy on/off mic that pivots out of the way (on a hinge, not just bendy). Bluetooth is seamless. Sound amazing. Looking forward to Club Series for music if they are as good as these for gaming. These headphones completely exceeded my expectations! There are three different ways to connect to your console / computer / phone and they are all very easy methods. The battery life is incredible and I love the sound quality. They feel very sturdy, I don't think they will break any time soon. I bought airpods, but these are much better at noise cancelling, are more comfortable, and the battery lasts longer. Overall I am super happy with these headphones!! From the first moment of trying them on, I knew these JBL Quantum 800 were going to be just what I was looking for. The headset pulls easily apart to fit to head. They are comfortable, not too tight and just the right amount of cushion. The inside of each ear piece is labeled with a large L & R. My favorite parts of these headphones are the comfort, the speaker that mutes when lifted (and changes color to red when muted), great noise cancelling, blue tooth connectivity, and clear sound. An added bonus is the color changing lights on the headset [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I purchased these about 3 weeks ago taking a chance with jbl entering the gaming market knowing that jbl produce quality headsets . After opening the box I was greeted with a lovely looking headset and couldn't wait to get started . The JBL Quantum 800 are okay wireless gaming headphones. Unlike most other gaming headphones, they have an active noise cancelling feature that does a great job of helping to cut down bass noise like the sound of bus or plane engines. They support Bluetooth as well as non-Bluetooth wireless, and their customizable RGB lighting around their ear cups gives you more customization over their style. However, the rest of their design looks and feels a little cheap due to their plasticky build. With both the RGB lighting and ANC on, the battery also lasts a few hours less than the advertised 14-hour battery life. Their boom microphone also performs better when using the included 1/8" TRRS cable, and your voice sounds clear, although lacking depth and fullness. It can separate voice from background noise, but it struggles a bit more in loud environments.
This Headset is honestly almost perfect. Sound quality is great, comfort is very good even though it is a bit on the heavier side. There is ome feature though which ruins it all. You can't use it while charging. That is honestly mindblowing to me. Every wireless headset is usable while charging, but not this one. They give you a 3.5mm jack audio cable to use while charging, but that doesn't really work on PC, as the PC has only split inputs for Audio and Mic. They write on some support side that this is a design choice, in that case it is the stupidest design ever. If you gonna do that, the battery time has to be way better. I can fully charge it and still i sometimes have to stop playing mid game to let the headset charge. Also the chat to game sound wheel is placed a little bad as i often manage to touch it when i take the headset of my head. Which means that i often have to re-adjust that.
