I've been using the JBL Quantum Stream Studio for a couple of weeks and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was pleasantly surprised with its weight. It is heavier than I had antecipated, with sturdy materials and stability. The quality of the sound is… what JBL delivers with every product - the best - but I'm quite impressed with all the options at disposal. I've also tried with 3 other friends and this microphone accommodates all 4 voices really well. Overall very pleased with this new microphone, I'm hoping it will inspire great talks on our new podcast!
I received my JBL Quantum Stream Studio microphone about 2 weeks ago and personally, I am very pleased with the product. It is truly intuitive to use and has a great design: I'm sure even those who are not experts in the field of audio will find its operation immediate and accessible. Every time I look at it on my desk, I feel like I have a powerful tool at my fingertips, I feel like a streamer! The user experience is excellent: everything seems to be designed in detail for the best possible experience. It's so intuitive that I didn't need the introductory manual so much. Obviously, its audio doesn't disappoint: it's really great and useful for calls with friends but especially for podcast recordings, streaming, capable of recording multiple voices clearly even simultaneously in the same room. I also appreciated the ability to connect headphones. I am satisfied with the product and its versatility.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most fly microphone I have had the pleasure to use! The microphone, has a knob on top that controls gain input or headset volume and consecutively controls the brightness of the LED light; the louder the volume, the brighter the light. The knob, also serves as a function button, when pushed changes the color of the LED light thus changing selectable voice pick-up patterns such as cardioid to omnidirectional as well as other functions that I have tried to capture in my pictures. All the functions can also be accessed through the quantum engine software download which allows you to adjust various settings such as an equalizer (EQ), LED display, polar patterns and noise reduction. Some other notable features include voice monitoring with easy volume control, a shock absorber for noise reduction, and led ring indicator (red, blue and red for mute) to indicate the microphone status. This mic is perfect for when you only have a single sound source and don't want to pick up room sounds that would affect the recording such as recording a podcast, on a skype/teams call or games that require online interaction or to stream your comments during the gameplay. I must say that recordings I have created using this microphone are crystal clear, especially when compared to others using a standard headphone mic. I like the LED light shows s that are incorporated in the Quantum products, which adds to the ambiance and overall experience. I have paired this with the JBL quantum 910P using both the wireless dongle and a direct connection and it works flawlessly. The workmanship and styling paired with exceptional sound quality make this a must have for those who demand a professional arrangement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works perfect right out of the box. No setup needed. Pros: 1. Build quality is terrific 2. Can be mounted in any angle and at any height 3. Mute button on the top is very handy and helpful during calls or streaming 4. Best part is you can adjust your voice according to how much you want to be heard 5. The light spectrum is so convenient and timesaver 6. Perfect for online content creators. Cons: 1. It catches keyboard keystrokes and vibrations from table top when it is placed on the desk 2. There is no app for Mac
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microphone will make you feel like a real radio announcer. You can collaborate with co-workers on Zoom calls, record you new podcast, or stream games on Twitchy. The construction is first rate and beautiful to look at. The setup could not be easier, complete plug and play. The Quantum Engine app will load automatically and it super easy to navigate. I really like the ability to change up the mounting situation, from desk stand to boom arm, to tripod mount. All the controls on the microphone body are easy to access and intuitive in their function. There is also a RGB volume meter around the mute button to help you monitor your levels on the go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mic has some great practical features that can be accessed and utilized from the mic it self. There are 4 different settings for the mic, depending on how I use it. These can be changed from tapping the underside of the mic to switch from one to another without needing to go into the app. For video calls it works well without me having to lean right in front of it. I found the side tone to incoming audio ratio can also be changed on the volume knob which is very helpful. To mute it's easy to just tap the top and the mic light turns Red. The cable that is provided is extra long so it can be used in a conference where the mic needs to be located farther away.
I'm a consumer of the brand, particularly when it comes to headphones. When I saw that they had launched a microphone with these specific features, I was very curious. I was looking for it not only for gaming, but also for streaming and podcasts. However, we have to take into account that its price puts it in comparison with other direct brands. So my analysis also reflects that. The truth is that the specifications and description on the microphone's page made me very curious and interested. It sounded great. The sound quality is good, but the price is expensive for what the product offers. On the other hand, it has several capture modes and you can clearly see the differences between them. Another negative point for me is the overabundance of RGB. For those who want to adopt a more classic style, it's not the ideal microphone. Also, the top mute button doesn't work as well as it looks. So, all in all, I think it's a good microphone and it's the ideal size for carrying around if necessary. However, the price is exaggerated for what the product offers and the brands that compete directly, in my opinion, continue to dominate the market in this area. I would also like to say that the software that comes with the microphone is good, useful and essential for running all the functions, but it is a bit heavy on the computer.
I bought this, a JBL Quantum, and its absolute garbage. The volume drops for no reason as if I'd suddenly walked away from the mic, which I havent. I hate it. It now sits at the back of my wardrobe and never gets used.
Quantum Enigine software is just a firmware checker on Macs, stop treating their uses as second class citizens. its not hard to port over software these days.
