First impression after taking it out of the box: the microphone is very solidly made. The main material used to build this device is metal. The microphone has a useful LED backlight that indicates the current operating mode on. The microphone has been used for meetings by MS Teams apps. According to my workmates, the sound quality is very high. The microphone has a knob for changing the sound level from the connected headphones and a microphone mute button. Muting the microphone is indicated by changing color of LED, while MS Teams does not show the "mute" icon and this is the one and only cons.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has really crispy clear sound as when i was playing a game with my friends and everyone heard me clear. I like that it has a button in the middle to turn up the volume or press it to mute, and the lights turn green when its working and red for mute. Also i love the slim design and the extra long cord for freedom to take it with you. It has a pretty simple hook up which was great to understand. This product is a must have especially if you are a gamer like me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this not only sounds good, but it's instinctual to use, whether through the onboard controls or the app. The JBL quantum stream talk microphone is equipped with a super cardioid voice pick up pattern that is intended to pick up sound that is directly in front of it. This is perfect for when you only have a single sound source and don't want to pick up room sounds that would affect the recording such as recording a podcast, on a skype/teams call or games that require online interaction or to stream your comments during the gameplay. I must say that recordings I have created using this microphone are crystal clear, especially when compared to others using a standard headphone mic. Also there is the quantum engine software download which allows you to adjust various settings such as an equalizer (EQ), LED display and noise reduction. Some other notable features include voice monitoring with easy volume control, a shock absorber for noise reduction, and led ring indicator (red, blue and red for mute) to indicate the microphone status. I really like the LED indicators that are incorporated in the Quantum products, it definitely adds to the experience. I have paired this with the JBL quantum 910P using both the wireless dongle and a direct connection.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little mic to start your own streaming videos or video conferencing. Would not be for professional use but great for someone starting out or just a replacement for a computer mic. It's very easy to set up and get started; just plug and play. It can be used on any device including your phone or computer. Comes with a USB to USB-C cord. It has both a headphone and USB-C plug in on the back. A simple control knob to control headphone volume and you can push it to mute the mic. Recording is much better than my built-in mic on my computer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a simple and easy to use microphone. I found it picks up my voice well from 6 or so inches away from my mouth. It doesn't pick up much background noise. This allows me to use it without needing to constantly lean forward to talk. This also allows me to use it and not have the mic in the cameras view. Tap the volume button to mute and the light on the end of the mic turns red. Tap to unmute and the light turns green. I find this mute feature is more convenient to use when on a video call instead of on the computer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Crystal Clear Voice: Forget teammates asking "can you repeat that?". This mic cuts through background noise, making your voice sound crisp and clean, even in the heat of battle. Plug & Play Simplicity: No tech headaches here. Just plug the mic in, adjust the handy knob, and boom, you're broadcasting like a pro. Compact & Portable: This mic won't dominate your desk like a spaceship. It's small but mighty, perfect for tight spaces or taking your streaming on the road. A Few Things to Consider: Solo Act Only: This mic is great for your voice, but if you're recording interviews or group chats, it might not be the best fit. USB Only: No fancy XLR connections here. This mic works wonders with computers, but forget connecting it to pro audio setups. Software Extras: Want cool light effects or extra noise reduction? You'll need to download some software. The Verdict: The JBL Stream Talk mic is a solid choice for gamers and streamers who want clear, no-fuss audio. Remember the perfect mic depends on your specific needs and preferences. But if you're looking for a reliable mic to up your audio game, this might just be your champion.
An interesting small microphone, I tested it personally while gaming and while giving online tutoring, the microphone worked well in both respects, the downside is that it catches sounds from the surroundings, noise reduction could be better, in our case of noisy children, but if we have a quiet room the room works great. The advantage is that it is not big, the sound is clear and pleasant, you can connect headphones to it, which is a big plus and with one knob we can adjust the volume of both the microphone and the headphones.
I received this product free/complimentary for testing purpose, Reviewclub give me this opportunity and i am glad to be a part of this campaign
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quantum stream talk is a decent solidly made microphone. I've used it during my meetings and haven't heard many complaints regarding the sound quality from my teammates when I speak. It's a sleek product and doesn't occupy much space on my desk. It is made of metal and seems robust enough and the balance of the weight of the product is pretty good so that it doesn't trip over easily. The design of the product seems cool and is sleek. This is a very good product to have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am disappointed by the Quantum Stream mic. Since it is a wired mic, but mounted on such a short pedestal (max height off the table is 8.5" (~22cm)), it is always awkward to try to use. It is either between my hands for a mouse/keyboard PC game, or my hands are blocking it using a controller. It's also impossible to use from the couch without getting a super long USB cable. Another downfall of the short pedestal/being wired is you have to speak louder than you normally would with a headset mic to be heard, even with max microphone gain with the mic and in windows settings. One more annoying item is the fact the light is at the tip of the microphone so it is always projecting green or red light in your face when it is plugged in. This light should come from the mute button instead of the cheap sticker they placed there.
