Great value for money, definitely recommended!

Astrojo3 May 24, 2018

I received these JBL Tune600BTNC headphones to review and have been using them everyday for over a week now. I have a cheaper pair of headphones that I used to use for watching movies and playing games on my laptop but those were extremely tight, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of comfort from these headphones but I am so glad I was proven wrong. I wear these JBL heaphones for at least 2-3 hours at a time and they feel very comfortable for me. The noise cancelling function is pretty darn good. I honestly can't hear anything or anyone talking to me (I don't intentionally try to ignore people) but it's so good that my wife actually needs to my hand gestures or tap me to get my attention :p The only thing I'm not very impressed with is that when you turn off the noise cancelling feature, most of the sound is still blocked. So I don't really know how effective it is at turning off the noise cancelling. The sound is good enough for anyone except those looking for perfection. I enjoy listening to music a lot! If there was ever a song that didn't sound as crisp as I like, I simply adjust the equaliser on music application on my phone or laptop. Having controls on the headphone is a big plus. You can skip, prev, pause, increase/decrease volume and cancel the noise cancelling at the press of a button. Battery life is incredible for these wireless headphones. I have a more expensive noise cancelling earphones that I use for work (I walk a lot as a postman/mailman) and the battery life on those is at most 4 hours. The JBL headphones do last an incredible 12 hours. I tried to drain it completely to see how long it took to charge from empty and it was annoying how long it took to drain the battery. Although it took me 2 hours to fully charge from the laptop. I haven't charged it from a fast charger but I'll assume it would charge a bit faster. To me this wasn't an issue seeing as there is a cable provided if I wanted to use it when the battery is dead. In terms of charging, they provide you with a micro usb cable. Glad it isn't a proprietary charging plug like my expensive earphones. Massive thumbs up for that. These headphones are a great value for money in my opinion and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mid range pair of headphones.

Fantastic value

Ske1fr January 6, 2019

I've been using these for a fortnight now, they were a Christmas present I chose after auditioning them. I already own some T540BT headphones so I knew that sound and liked it, but these Tune600BTNC's are something else. I've been using them quite a bit since Christmas Day and they've only just beeped the first low battery warning so I've not yet had to recharge them after the initial charge! And that's with noise cancelling active, and 90% of the time with Bluetooth. Yes, you will hear some hiss when you turn them on with no sound source active, but it's not intrusive, and the action of the noise-cancelling is effective while not completely blocking everything. My work colleague is standing beside me having a conversation with someone else, and I could easily ignore what volume of sound the NC was not affecting, so in this open-plan office the headphones achieve exactly what I was hoping for:block out the background noise so I could concentrate. Note too that there is no pitch shift during playback of music on Bluetooth: cheaper older headphones struggle with playback and you can clearly hear music shift pitch at times, but these just don't! The sound quality is the best I've heard. I thought the T450BT's were great: these improve on that. Bass notes are clearly defined, but the mid range and high are also cleaner so I can hear much more in the music. You could pay more and get higher sound quality but these are well worth auditioning if you can. Oh, and I took a phone call a couple of days ago on them and the call quality was excellent. Very comfortable; the padded top bar helps with that. It would be great if they came with a bag or case to preserve them, but I've made one.

Best in price = performance

johnykkey August 1, 2019

I bought them not so long ago. And I'm pretty happy with them. Great sound, long battery life, good noise cancelling! If you a looking for an on-ear headphones, look no further. But there's few things that I'm worried about. 1. Plastic is bit too tight, and after an about hour (or so) of using, ears bit hurting, cause of the pressure. And I don't have such a big head :) 2. There's no case in the packaging, and it's pain to transfer them 3. Last but more with my bad luck. There's some uncut plastic flush underneath the leather cover on right ear (shown in photo) which is slowly cutting that leather cover, so I guess, it will not last more than a month, and I'll have to look for the replace :/

Perfect holiday accessory

GarngadSlim May 27, 2018

Have just returned from holiday where I used my JBL Tune600BTNC heaphones every single day. On flight (7.5 hours) and transfer (1 hour) they were in use, the battery life lived up to expectation. The performance and sound quality was excellent and reliable throughout, as it was every day of my holiday after recharging nightly. This enabled me to have music in my ears while relaxing outdoors. I am so impressed by the reliabilty and the distance you can be from source with great performance... easily got to 60 feet with no distortion or loss of connection. The performance of the product I have to rate highly. The noise isolation brings a quality that enables you to immerse yourself in movies/videos with top performing sound. Totally amazing product. Will not let you down

Perfection!

breadandjam67 June 16, 2018

I was asked to use and review these marvellous headphones and wow,I'm majorly impressed! The sound quality is flawless, enabling me to immerse myself in whatever movie I happen to be watching- literally every little sound is picked up,to the point I keep looking around me thinking something is in the room. I realise this is standard of surround sound but with the noise cancelling feature of these,it's taken to a whole other level. I have fibromyalgia and for me to have the ability to shut out noise pollution is invaluable. I don't impress easily so for these to make me want to rave about them to everyone, they must be exceptional and they most certainly are. I like to listen to music for several hours a day;with the addition of Bluetooth and the superb feature of a lengthy battery life,I can do so, effortlessly. I will be sad when I have to return them.

Perfect All-round Headphones

Wallace95 May 27, 2018

Ive been using these headphones for just over two now and they are great. At first I found they were slightly heavy in the low end frequencies, but the option to turn the bass boost off is a perfect feature. The overall audio quality is very high, and the difference in audio quality from using Bluetooth to using them as wired headphones is very minimal, which is great. One of the most outstanding features of the TUNE600BTNC headphones is the battery life. I got roughly 21 hours using solely as Bluetooth headphones, so using them for long journeys you won't have to worry about them running out of battery. And another ideal feature is the sound cancelling function. This helps you cut out the outside world when you want to listen to you favourite music, most helpful when on public transport. Overall these headphones are definitely a pair you should consider for general everyday use.

My JBL 600BTC Review

siddiqi May 22, 2018

I have tested this product extensively over the past week. Being an audiophile and a student that travels, I own a lot of different pairs of high end headphones and I look for one that suits my needs. These headphones are amazing for the price. The sound quality was very good and all the mids, lows and highs were perfectly balanced. The ANC is amazing, I would say competent to other high end headphones like the QC35 and they do a very good job blocking out all if not, most of the surrounding sound. I had one complaint and that was the design. Although its a mid-ranged pair of headphones, it is built of plastic and plastic everywhere. The cushions are nice and soft but after an hour or so they start to tire my ears and I take em off for a bit. One other complaint was that they do not offer any app compatibility on the phone which would be a bonus to check the battery life and tune the headphones to your liking. However, the battery life was really good, and I was surprised that it delivered the 12 hours of battery life that the company claimed which usually tends to not be true. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed using these headphones and I will continue to use them as my backup as I do own a pair of higher-end headphones ;)

Bad first JBL experience

Anonymous October 26, 2020

Please find my honest review after a year of use: Pros: Excellent audio quality. Good bluetooth connectivity. I found below issues with these headphones, 1. Static noise from headphones when no audio is playing. 2. Tight on ears, cannot use for long hours. 3. Cannot use in the gym as the ear cushion material (Frog skin PU leather) wears out due to sweat. 4. Uncomfortable around the neck while not in use.

Medium-end headphones

cnrmms April 20, 2024

It has almost been a year since this product was gifted to me and I have been using it without any problems until a month ago. The cushions completely tore off and I have been looking for replacements ever since. I'm not going to say it is because of the low build quality as it has nearly been a year of using these headphones but don't expect anything awesome. Sound quality is satisfying and loud enough but I wouldn't take it too far on the bass as it can reduce the sound quality. Again, good enough for the price of the device. Battery life was long enough and charging was fast when I was first using it but then both of these became worse and worse. Battery life was shortened and charging time became longer. Expect both of these things to happen after 10-11 months. Compatibility is good on mobile but not the best on PC. Don't expect to be able to use your microphone in all PC platforms, it can cause many problems. On another note, the box contains an AUX cable which means that you can use the product even when it runs out of battery or when you want to use it with a device that doesn't have Bluetooth. I think it is a nice feature. Overall, great value for price and comparably reliable. Nice sound quality and sufficient features for daily usage but may lack when continuously used. 7/10
