JBL Xtreme 5 - Portable waterproof speaker with massive legendary JBL sound, ambient edge lighting, and a convenient shoulder strap - Squad

I have had this speaker for three weeks I think. It is a replacement for the original JBL extreme with a bad battery. This speaker is light years ahead of the old one. The clarity is exceptional and I love that I can personalize my equalizer settings. The bass is awesome even at top volume. I like it so much that when they go on sale I'm buying another identical to this one to set up for stereo performance.

Loving it so far. I have the smaller JBL5, it didn't give me as much bass as I wanted. I bought the extreme 5 and have zero regret. Plays loud and clear, and delivers the on low end that my smaller 5 is missing. Battery life is excellent. My only gripe is you cannot link two different models together with the app. My parents also have the same smaller 5 that I have. I've linked mine with theirs into stereo with the app. Two of those together sound really good, and almost deliver enough bass for my taste. If you want the maximum amount of bass from JBL portable line. Get the extreme 5, or two!

I have owned the JBL Xtreme 5 for a few weeks now, and I have definitely maintained or even grown my appreciation for what it offers overtime. For me what helps the most is definitely the shoulder strap. The speakers is like the perfect weight to carry around where it can both hold you down if a road gets bumpy but not weight you down when trying to cycle uphill. The bass response is insane overall for a portable and I basically never it get tired of it. The mids are distinct and the trebles are crisp, providing a wide and distinct punchy sound. As for the volume, I basically never have to push it to max, and when I do, I won't be very close to the speaker at all. It's 130W AC power mode is also a highlight for me. It allows the speaker to reach its true potential when plugged in to a wall source, or if you're like me, a battery pack with AC outlets. The JBL Portable app has improved majorly in responsiveness and connectivity since the JBL Charge 5, and the light and EQ effects work reliably and provide lots of versatility in terms of options. Bluetooth reliability has also increased greatly from previous models with Bluetooth 6.0 and a more reliable multipoint connection. The build quality is unmistakable, but I do wish there was a way to do Lossless and the AC Mains power mode at the same time, but they can't be pushed out of the same USB-C port even with dongles attached. Overall, whether upgrading from an older Xtreme model or Charge model, this slam dunk of a speaker will provide you with all the features you need and then some.

Sound quality is exceptional. You can fill the base steep in your soul even with the volume low and the sound seems to travel really well in large areas. I would definitely buy this product again.

Sounds really good. This was the best price I found, also. The case I ordered to go with it, though, still has not arrived, which is puzzling, but it's not coming from JBL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Xtreme 5 is exactly what you would expect from JBL, but cleaner and more powerful than previous versions. The sound is loud without getting muddy. The bass hits so hard, and it still sounds balance, even at higher volumes. Whether it's music in the backyard, a bonfire, garage hangs, or just around the house, it fills the space really well without sounding distorted. Battery life is nothing short of amazing. I can go hours without even thinking about charging it. The Build quality feels so durable too, which is huge if you're moving around a lot. Love having the strap to go around your shoulder or neck, because due to the size, it can be challenging sometimes if you don't have a proper way to move it around. The Easy Sing Mic was actually more fun than I expected. Super easy to pair and use right out of the box. Vocals come through surprisingly clear and the echo/vocal effects make karaoke nights way more entertaining without feeling cheesy. It's definitely more of a casual fun set up than a professional vocal system, but for parties, family, gatherings, or just messing around with friends, it does the job really well. I even used the magnetic feature to clip onto my shirt for content videos for social media. Overall, JBL nailed the combo. The speaker sounds premium, the Mike has a fun social element, and together they make an awesome set up for parties, tailgates, camping trips, or just turning a regular night into a good time!

I literally carry this thing around and play music on it and can set it down wherever on my lot of land. I have 2 acres and I can hear it throughout the property. The bass packs a huge punch. It's that JBL quality that you expect. I played this for over 20 hours and did not have to charge. If you are looking for something to replace a subpar speaker this is it.

Don't know if it's worth the price. it's great and I like it but a bit much. packaged horribly. sent by some company not walmart. not even in a box. Just product box with ship sticker. Not cool!

easly distorts when not even when not at max volume bass tones sound fake, not natural. not happy with the sound that is reproduced. build quality is fine.

rec a used extreme 3 Grey in box when opened it and returned the next day to Walmart for refund so inspect it ounce you get it mine was suppose to be blue
