Customer Insights: Rated 4.5/5 from 129 reviews.
I like the clean smoke flavor it produces, I like the way it smoothly travels through the auger, and it lasts a lot longer than other brands that I have tried. I really like the pour feature on the box. It works well, and is easier to stack. No wrestling with the bags.
Love these pellets. The smoke smells great and the meat picked up a decently nice flavor. Not as good as the offset smoked but much better than some other pellets I've purchased. I like the packaging too. Walmart shipping did some good and taped up the boxes so they would survive the shipping. Very happy with that!
Was excited to try these pellets! Jealous Devil did not disappoint. I have used Jealous Devil lump charcoal and the pellets were exactly as I was hoping. They burned at a constant temp with the perfect flavor profile and very little ash. My brisket was a family hit! I read other reviews and had no issues with Walmart delivery. The box was in perfect shape and utilitarian.
Higher quality pellets with superior flavor and aroma. These burn more efficiently saving you pellets to keep your temperatures and the flavor is top notch. Innovative box also has a pull and pour feature that makes storage and refilling your grill easy.
The Jealous Devil Jax BBQ pellets are a game-changer in the realm of BBQ cooking, carving out a distinguished place in my smoking and grilling routine. I was immediately taken by the quality and consistency of these pellets, delivering a premium performance every time. The standout element has to be the superb flavor profile they impart. It's robust yet subtly nuanced, taking my BBQ to new, mouth-watering heights. Partnered with Royal Oak charcoal pellets, the blend creates a unique taste-sensation that's hard to rival. Despite the plentiful dust, which admittedly does tend to leak from the box packaging, I found no negative impact on the cooking process. There was no discernible extra dust accumulation during cooking, a testament to the pellets' intrinsic quality. While the packaging could use some improvement for better dust containment, the superior quality of the pellets themselves compensates for this minor inconvenience. Even though the dust issue was somewhat noticeable, it's important to remember that this is a natural occurrence with wood pellets. The key takeaway here is that these pellets maintained their performance and did not compromise the end result: delicious, smoky, and savory BBQ. To conclude, the Jealous Devil Jax BBQ pellets are an absolute asset for any BBQ enthusiast. The flavor they bring to the table, coupled with their high-quality performance, more than earns them a solid five-star rating. In spite of the minor packaging glitch, these pellets are set to become a mainstay in my BBQ routine, and I highly recommend them to any fellow BBQ aficionados.
One of the three boxes that was delivered. Was in a damaged state losing pellets. All that needed to be done was tape it shut. Which is what I did. So I could work with it. So it would have been nice. If that was taken care of before it was delivered. I am sure that it was a box on the floor. That no one wanted. The second day when I got the third box. You could tell it was brand new. Other than that. Everything else was fine.
These are great pellets and a really great price. Beware of the packaging though. It's just a cardboard box with a single strip of tape across the bottom. When shipped, the bottom is always open with pellets all over the shipping box. This means that you have to scoop up all the pellets and repackage them. Major hassle.
First off all Walmart uses FedEx for shipping. They are the worst. These pellets are in a thin cardboard box. Not only was the external box damaged but the box the pellets are in was damaged as well. Not sure how many were lost in shipment. The pellets are all small bits and pieces of pellets with very few full size ones. I can't imagine they all broke apart in shipping but who knows. Judging by the condition of the box's , I guess it's possible. I won't order this product again. The pellets may be great I don't know. I honestly don't want to use them.
Bought four boxes as this is my go to pellet. Two were busted open and a bunch of pellets were strewn in the bottom of the box it was shipped in. The pellets are also noticeably inferior to the same ones bought from Home Depot. Powdery and dull, not shiny and fresh like normal. They also smell much more lackluster than the box from Home Depot. Great pellets just don't buy them from Walmart I suppose. The price was significantly lower, but you get what you pay for I guess.
This product was shipped fed-ex. When it arrived one of the boxes was taken out of the original packaging and placed in a fed-ex shipping box. I assume that means it was damaged in shipping at some point. Regardless there was a significant amount of the product missing out of item that was damaged and the product was broken up really small and contained a lot of dust. Wal-Mart or Fed-Ex one need to replace or compensate me for the product that I paid for and didn't receive.
