Tried this out from a friend's recommendation, I love it !! Very smooth great after notes. I have taken it a step further, I use a bourbon smoker on my glass with apple or cherry chips. The smoke makes the flavor explode with taste. I highly recommend the reserve to any bourbon drinker. Thank you Jefferson distillery.
I was given a Bottle as a Birthday Gift and I enjoyed it so MUCH that I went out and Bought 4 more Bottles for me and to share with Guest's. some have started to drink it more than their Old Brand just like I did.
A fantastic, smooth, and easy drinking bourbon. It offers great aromas on the nose like dried citrus, vanilla, oak. On the palate, notes of oak, cinnamon and vanilla. Smooth finish.
We have spent 5 years tasting bourbon, trying to find our favorite, and Jefferson Reserve is IT. We love the smooth taste. We compare everything else to it and we simply like it better than anything else we've tried. We toured the distillery once and can't wait to do it again!
To be honest I bought Jefferson Reserve after not being able to find Blantons, and I very glad i did. I am new to the bourbon world, after being a Crown Black guy. I find Jeffersons Reserve to be very smooth, with no "after bite". I have tried the "Oceans" and still am partial to the Reserve. And as a side thought after finding a bottle of Blantons, my wife did a blind taste test of Blantons and Jefferson Reserve and the Jeffersons won out on myself three out of three times. It is ann excellant bourbon.
I am a Single Malt Scotch drinker, and everytime I tried anything else, I did not like the flavor. Well, I received a "sampler for Christmas and since it was available, I tried it; it was a very pleasant surprise because it was great. Taste, nose, finish, could not have been better. Now, I will be hard pressed to drink anything but Jeffersons Bourbon
I luckily saw this bottle sitting unopened way in the back at a bar I was at. I was looking fir a good bourbon to sip on. I was totally unfamiliar with Jeffersons reserve, but the other option was know creek, so I said let's give it a try. At first sip I think I actually said wow out loud and laughed. I have tried a lot of bourbon around this price point and higher and this is absolutely top notch, ... its incredibly smooth with just the right bite and the finish is minutes long.
I've been sampling and trying to find the perfect sipping bourbon and for making the perfect “Old Fashion”. I've tried quite a few, but have a ways to go. Makers Mark, Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Bulliet, Tincup, Jack, Jim Beam, Crown, Heaven's Door, Woodford Reserve,ElijahCraig, Yellowstone, Angel's Envy. THE bourbon that best suits my pallet, hands down is Jefferson'sBourbon. I went to a Bourbon bar in Winchester VA and inquired WHICH bourbon they recommend for their “Old Fashion”. Without hesitation, the bartender recommended, Jefferson's Reserve!
I drink many bourbons, but never tried Jefferson's until today. This bourbon has all the flavors that I like and I'm adding it to my collection. Try it neat first, because you won't want to waste it in a mixed drink! Smooth caramel, vanilla and toffee. A wonderful surprise for the price.
I bought this bottle to try after watching the documentary Bourbontucky. This was one of the brands that was talked about as a new brand. I liked tha whiskey and it drank neat very well although a bit of water really got it to open up. Very good bourbon and was a great value. As reputation and word of mouth get around the prices went up. Still a good whiskey.
