I installed this in a 73 f250 that had a broken shift tube. It is very nice looking and i like the tilt feature. This is however a universal for gm so be prepared for some modifying for other makes. You will need gm compatible steering wheel. I was willing because i have a metal fab shop. To make this work with my ford i cut off the end of my old column that attached to the coupler and welded it on this new column. The main downside to this column for me is there is no easy way to connect this column to a ford's mechanical neutral safety switch(also reverse light switch) so i had to improvise there also. I like how most all the parts are metal with just a few small pieces being plastic. I was very suprised there was zero paperwork with this part describing the minor assembley required but mostly i would have loved a wireing diagram for my rewiring to a ford needs. However despite the negatives i am pleased with this column and would order it again if needed (because of the great price). And as always jegs got it to me fast.
