JEGS Engine Stand 2000 lbs.

Very heavy duty, Hung a fully dressed 7.3 turbo diesel on it and holds it great. Very little droop even with 1400 lbs on it. Highly recommended

Great product! I had previously purchased a 1200lb rated stand from another company for my 800lb BB Chevy. As soon as I placed the long block on the stand, the engine sagged so badly that I had to immediately find a 2x4 to prop it up. Instead of moving the 2x4 every time I had to spin the engine, I ordered the JEGS 80042 stand which was better built and handled my BB 427 with no problem. All the parts were there and assembly was easy, not to mention delivery was way faster than expected. The only problem is if you use a hoist with narrow legs, you will have to be creative to get the stand under the hoist because the stand’s legs spread out for more stability. Again, great product!

I bought this 2000lb rated engine stand because the one I borrowed was too light duty for the international 304 IC engine that I am refurbishing, it is really heavy, in fact to install the pin to keep it from rotating I have to use my engine hoist to make the holes line up because it leans forward, If you need a heavy duty stand that is very stable and easy to maneuver around in your shop this is the stand for the job. Also it folds up nicely for storage when not in use.

Box arrived in poor shape. None of the bolts provided were long enough to secure the vertical Post. Had to run out to Lowe's for 2 longer bolts. Also, one of the brace brackets was missing from the damaged box. Called Kegs customer service and they sent one out within 2 days. Now the engine stand work great. Would buy again.

I bought this to hold my 7.3 diesel. It holds it well but I have 2 small problems with it. First thing is, there isn't a spot to put the handle when I'm not turning to engine. (I dont like handle sticking out) second thing is its pretty hard to rotate the engine. I understand this is a heavy engine.

Its good that it stores legs up, if i ever have the chance to store it.. assembly is strait forwarded, the casters take tiny fingers to get the nuts on, Im still looking for the pin (part #1) but a old engine bolt dropped in the hole works too, it does its job well. i have hung everything on it from a honda 750-4 ( with a adapter) to a tall deck BBC.

Just finished assembling the 555-80042 engine stand. Assembly was not difficult, although the parts list in the instructions are incorrect. The stand is sturdy and looks strong enough to handle a heavy engine, although 4.8 hardware is not impressive. Unfortunately, the quality of the fabrication is poor. The vertical column is welded off center as is, and the shaft of the turning plate is not square to the plate. The result is when rotated 180, the engine is off center, pointing off to one side. Jegs will only exchange the complete unit, but repackaging it to ship back is a major problem. I would rather have the two bad parts sent to me - AFTER they have been inspected. So unfortunately I cannot recommend this engine stand and will limit my purchases to smaller items.

Bought this to rebuild an engine. It functions but sloppy fitment of the engine adapter. And it also no longer fits the blessed performance adapter.

The instructions are tiny, dont explain anything and are difficult to read. Mine showed up missing lots of hardware, the locking pins for the legs don't fit, and the cross braces dont either.

Received this today 5/24/24 and I am extremely disappointed in the quality. The caster bolt holes will not line up with the holes in the legs. You shouldn't have to perform machine work on a product that should just bolt together. After milling out the back holes in the legs for the front casters I was able to get it assembled. DO NOT BUY THIS FAULTY PRODUCT.
