The local stores want a small fortune for a simple gauge Jegs has these small gauges for about 20 $ I have a 71 pinto motor in a 29 ford with a holley 2100 carburator from a flathead ford v8 I needed vacuum gauge to set the timing and a fuel regulator to prevent flooding and a fuel gauge to set that. I ordered a gauge that measured from 0 to 15 pounds but I really needed a more presice gauge maybe from 0 to 7 lbs. anyway they all worked and came all the way accrossed the country quickly. I can't get my photo on here.
I bought this gauge last summer for my '70 Chevy C10 with a BB 402 that puts out a lot of heat in the Las Vegas summer. Old gauge always read differently. This gauge has the pressure relief valve on top and when I open it, it resets to the actual pressure. I know that because I use a pressure regulator that is accurate. The wide rubber band stays on the gauge as well and doesn't slip off. Both are a must to ensure I have exactly 5.5 psi for my Edelbrock 750 carb. Well worth every cent.
I bought it to put with my vacuum can. Iam glad it did showed what vacuum I have at idle. I mounted it front of the radiator. Dont forget you need extra vacuum hose.
Quality gauge at the right price. Using it as a vacuum gauge on my vacuum canister. Works great. Would buy again.
It's a very simple and accurate vacuum gauge. I really preferred this because all it takes is some standard plumbing fittings to hook up.
Worked absolutely great was able to tune engine and use it to detect other engine issues witch the use of the gage I found no problems
I thought I was ordering an Automotive vacuum gauge but this is used for an air compressor. I will keep it anyway because I might need it in the future.
ANY HEAT FROM THE ENGINE OR THE SUN WILL CAUSE THE NEEDLE TO MOVE UP, ONLY TIME IT STAYS ON ZERO IS WITH NO HEAT OR SUNLIGHT, IF THE VACUUM CANISTER GETS HOT THE NEEDLE MOVES UP.
I bought this a little while back and when I got around to mounting it, the gauge reads 10 in, vac. and will not go down any less, don't know if it will be right above that or not,,???
Gauge reads 5 inches of vacuum at rest. Not worth the effort to return it.
