Received them in fast and extra padded box to ensure no damages during shipping.
Just got another pair of these. Perfect seats for my pro street cars. Easy to install 5 point harness on them as well
I think that these are great seats for the price. Add in free shipping and was a no brainer. The holes to mount the seats were different than all of the seat bases that I found for sale so I had to make some small metal adapter brackets. The first set they sent me, one of the boxes was badly damaged but Lisa from Customer Service was super helpful and had the pick up scheduled, and new one shipped the same day I called. Only time will tell how long they last but the material is nice and the quality seems good. These are a nice upgrade for my '73 beetle.
I bought this seat solely on the price point and the dimensions. I am very happy with how it fits into my Jeep after making all the brackets to mount it (to be expected), and am also happy with how comfortable it is. However, coming from a bigger name company like JEGS, I would expect that the quality of work to be a bit higher. The tube frame that runs through the seat itself is misaligned on the bottom (Picture 1), The welds are at best mediocre and blown through the rail itself (P2), and the slider mount is misaligned (P3-4.
Bought two of these for an Old Step Van Rebuild , It was less expensive to buy these seats as opposed to having the old ones reupholstered ! Plus They Look Cool !
I replaced my fiberglass bucket seats with these in my sand rail. What a difference!!! I was at Ocotillo Wells and could rail it, they work!
the shoulder holes should have 2 holes on both sides of back of seat too run the belts though
Bought 2 of these to put in my Jeep. First off, you will absolutely have to buy or fabricate some lower seat brackets. I knew this but wanted to ensure other people know. If not, you’ll likely be sitting with your head on the roof. During the test fitting, I noticed my eye line was above the top of the windshield. I'm 6' tall with a 34" waist and the seat is pretty comfortable but it was not well thought out for use with a harness or anyone over about 5’7”. Unfortunately, I bought these seats to use with a 5 point harness and this part of the seat seems to be an afterthought. First thing I noticed when I sat in the seat was that the 5 point slot in the seat is under my crotch bordering on under my butt rather than just in front of it. If I recline the seat heavily to push me all the way to the back of the seat, the harness strap is not quite in my butt but it still hugs "the boys" a bit too much. The other thing I noticed was that the slot for the crotch belt isn't fully cut in the bottom of the seat so I'll have to cut it to pass the belt through. Next complaint is the shoulder harness. There are two slots in the rear but only one in the front. I can’t even begin to understand the thought process here. If I put both straps through the single slot in the front, the belts dig into my neck and poke the center of my back. My only justification for doing this is maybe to ensure the user tears the seats trying to jam the harness through the angle and then can’t return it. I don’t know. If I put both straps through the straps on the outside of the headrest, the straps are over the outside of my shoulders rather than on my collar bone. If you just want to use a lap belt or you're 5'7" or shorter, I think these seats will be good.
I ordered a set of bench seats and one of them did not have the mounting hardware. Sucked but I managed to come up with what I needed.
Garbage , they are too wide for the Jeep but if you do a shop by vehicle they pop up. But they do not fit and now im out 30.00 (I cant mention Why). Great job JEGS..not really , this is awful ... on both parts.
