Bought the spacer to give my carb a little bit more clearance. it worked great did not decrease low end torque or at least it is not noticable.
Tried it out this weekend, no engine heat was transferred to the carb. Worked as advertised, Thank You!
installed it , started up the vet and the car ran great . can't test on the road due to snow and road salt
I bought this for the 383 in my '78 corvette and it made a difference in mid to high range over the 1" spacer I had.
Just what I needed, works great and at a incredible price.
I love it but mite not be able to use it with a air filter to mite be to tall
Good product liked everything besides the studs they sent should be a little longer. If you are using a Holley throttle bracket
So I received my first spacer within 5 days which was what was quoted. When I received it I checked it over and didn't notice a hairline crack in the corner until I went to install it and it cracked off and took the carb base plate with it. I called them immediately and they quickly sent me a replacement. I luckily had a few other carb's to steal parts from to fix mine. I installed the new one and it was perfect. If you purchase one just make sure to check it thoroughly for hairline cracks before you install. If not I would just spend the money for a better spacer.
It looks real good. BUT I had to machine .020 on both sides. It was so far from flat its a joke. I would not recommend this to anyone that cares about thier motor.
I can't speak about the quality from 3 to 5 years ago but the one I recently purchased had the most uneven surfaces! Vacuum leaks from the base of the carb to the base of the spacer....replaced it with an aluminum spacer from autozone and didn't have any problems
