I was worried about him being able to use this by himself without breaking it. It's very well made with a sturdy turn crank on top. Very well made and great price.

I purchased this for my daughters' birthday party, and it turned out to be the perfect manual ice shaver. It was a little hard for kids to use on their own, but it just required a little a duly muscle to get the shaver locked into place. This is only necessary when filling the ice each time. The ice is shaven very fine, and makes perfect snow cones. The handle is easy to turn, and shaves the ice at a decent pace. I would definitely buy it again because it did the job, but it would be nice to see a few improvements; i.e. Suction cups on bottom to help it hold place, and larger ice container.

It really shaves the ice like they do at the snoball stands but its manual so it might be a little hard for little kids to use themselves. My little girl ask me to make it the snoball for her

Difficult to crank; you have to really push it down hard, turn handle clockwise to shave ice you'd think you're going to break it! It's even difficult just to keep the lid on. You have to use the mold to make ice

Item was purchased as a gift for a friend who did not enjoy it and returned it to me unwanted. I regifted to anyomous toy drive for children for Christmas.

Junk. Save your money, its hard to hold onto when turning the shaver. Feels like its going to break !
