JENNIE-O OVEN READY Whole Turkey, Frozen

this is the best turkey. its moist and juicy. yhe best part for me is that i dont have to risk getting sick from a turkey that has been thawed for a week. i grab this turkey stright from the freezer and put in in the over no thaw time and its done in 3 to 4 hours such a wonderful thing. and the favore is spot on. i have got these turkeys for the last 10 years its so much faster and way less headache. try it one time u will never get another thaw for a week turkey again. lol..

Super easy to cook. Love you can cook it FROZEN, Very little prep. Cooks super quickly compared to A NORMAL TURKEY. Very Nice Quality. Kind of pricy but totally worth it. LOVE The storage bag it comes in. Cooking time was great, Super DELICIOUS! Will be buying again.

Last year I waited too late b4 thanksgiving to search for this freezer to oven turkey. I made a “regular” whole turkey and was very disappointed. So, this year I found it early and bought so I am sure to have! Crazy expensive, in MY opinion, but the flavor %26 tenderness is unmatched!

I have reached the age where I can no longer wrestle a slippery thawed turkey into an oven bag. But, I still love to fix a turkey. So, this freezer to oven turkey solves the problem. It has its own cooking bag and all you have to do is cook it and enjoy eating it. Moist, tender, melt-in-your-mouth turkey. Order early because they disappear fast.

it does save you time if your the one cooking the dinner but the price was a lot higher then you would expect and after wards there was'nt much left for left overs and there were only 2 people eating the turkey dinner so ease of cooking great bigger family or guests coming over maybe try to find it on sale or find a cheaper turkey that might take longer to cook if your good with the price then I would recommend but if times are hard then skip this one

I liked that the Oven Ready Jennie-O Turkey can be cooked from frozen. You loosen the oven cooking bag and cut a few 1/2 inch slots in the bag before putting the turkey in the oven. You have to be really careful that you don't get it too done though. It has a pop up timer (which I didn't notice until I got it out of the oven) and tells you to set the oven timer for 4 hours and then check it an hour before the timer goes off. I left my husband with it while I ran to my church for the Christmas Eve Service. I ended not getting back to check it until 50 minutes before the timer went off and my husband didn't hear me ask him to check on it. Even if we had checked it at 1 hour before, it would have been too dry. The legs were hard and dry. It did have a good flavor though. If I get one of these again, I will start checking it after cooking for 2 hours instead of waiting. I know turkeys usually take less time when cooked in an oven bag. I just thought it would take longer because the turkey started out frozen.

This wasn't a hit for us. It cooked so fast even though it was frozen solid from our deep freeze. It wasn't what we expected from a frozen turkey but we thought we would give it a try on a random cold early fall morning. I'll wait for regular frozen turkeys to be in stock to make one next time.
