What was delivered to me was exactly 4.5 pounds. It's very fresh and none of it was brown at all. The fat content is low. I find it to be a good deal.
Most bacon hurts my chest and is too greasy and fatty, but Jennie-O Turkey Bacon is non greasy and does not make me feel unhealthy.
Good taste for it being turkey, bacon little or no grease left behind. Better than butterball turkey bacon for sure.
I want to start by saying that I love turkey bacon. I love it as much as I love regular bacon. The Jennie-O turkey bacon isn't bad per se, it's just not my fave. This one doesn't crisp the way I'd like. It does crisp just not as well. The flavor is good, just not as pronounced. It has a slightly rubbery texture. The Oscar Meyer turkey bacon is much better IMO. It's thicker, has a more meaty mouth feel and not rubbery, it gets nice and crispy. But, if the Oscar Meyer is out of stock, the Jenni-O would work in a pinch.
I love Trurkey bacon.Earlier this year when another store stopped carrying their brand I returned to buying it from Walmart. Then it became scarce at Walmart, Now it is back but more slices in the package. The flavor is almost gone. But better this than none.
I mistakenly bought this instead of Oscar Meyer's turkey bacon. I cooked a few pieces thinking it should be jyst as good, but U couldnt get past 2 bites. I had to throw away the rest. To me, this stuff is horrible.
Like others I have bought this for years with mostly no problems. But the increased cost decreased quality = I'm done. The packaging reverted back to the old kind and is not resealable and is a mess. Most of the packs I have bought recently are rancid and slimed within a day of opening. If you bought a pack and it's slimy
So I got these because I'm trying to cut calories and eat healthier and lower fat content foods. But 20 minutes after eating 3 pieces, I ended up with a raging migraine. I hadn't eaten anything else and I couldn't figure out what was going on. I literally spent the next 18hours in bed and in pain. After doing a bit of research i found out that it was because of this bacon. They use sodium nitrate as a preservative and for people like me who already get migraines, they're a lot more sensitive to nitrates and even the smallest amount will cause an attack. So anyone like me "mainly women" avoid this one and anything that uses nitrates. Its been almost 24hrs since I first ate this and I still a migraine and I'm hoping I'll be better by tomorrow. 100% do not recommend this to anyone who suffers from migraines like me!!!
Bought this last night, came home and immediately put it in the fridge. This morning, I open it and all the bacon is disgustingly slimy. If I could 0 stars I would. Not to mention this same store has been selling bread past the due date as well just last week
Not what I ordered. don't like turkey bacon, I ordered turkey low salt lunch meat.. Now what am I suppose to do ?
