My family still has several older cars but needed a modern option for the vehicles for gps and general hands free phone stuff. I tried two different brands before this and both were extremely “buggy.” I'm not sure what the processing or software requirement are internally for android auto and apple car play but I find many brands claiming to offer this are not stable or executed with any real quality. But this one is the best and works as smooth as an OEM vehicle but in my opinion even MORE consistent and stable. Aside from phone based services and integration, the audio aspects and features are also the best I have found so far. EQ is user friendly and is easy enough to use and fine tune with old man fat fingers. Been a long time since I listed to an over the air signal so the one thing I can't comment on is the AM/FM Quality as I don't use that feature. Back up camera has better picture and less interference on this head unit than on my previous one. This stereo DOES NOT lower you audio when the camera is active (backing up) which I prefer. If I had to say anything less than positive I guess it would be the bottom row of buttons are a little hard to press in my particular vehicle. But a different mounting kit might change that but if the buttons weren't so thin it wouldn't matter. And as for the stock interface, getting into the settings and eq require swiping on the Home Screen in a way that to me is a little uncomfortable. Best I can tell there is no way to move them around like you can the apps in Apple car play. They are static in where they're placed and a little inconvenient for my purposes. But that's me having to look for things to say could be better. Just to show I'm not being overly biased. But this is still the best option out there of all the models and aftermarket mfg's I've tried. 100% recommend as I have now bought three for our cars and this is now my absolute “go to” when I need to upgrade an old stereo.
A moderately priced double din 7" screen head unit providing the needed CarPlay and sound to my grandson's 2012 silverado. Still working on the external microphone piece; it does not work.
Great Product, I had it before in other cars. Work great, great quality for the money, and easy installation!
My son loves this. Priced well
Looks good so far we will see once it's installed
I love the price and it works great and is delivered on time. Love it!
Overall good buy for the holidays. This was for a replacement of a stock stereo for one who isn't looking for an impactful stereo system. A basic entry to CarPlay connection with steering wheel controls and backup camera ability. Great deal. Only issue with these units is sometimes they'll need custom shaping to fit car dash kits. Overall great buy and good double din system.
Although it said it was compatible with a 2017 Honda Accord, it is not. Returned.
We purchased this for my son's birthday and he installed it right away. It wasn't a great fit even though it was supposed to be compatible with his factory radio. It wasn't easy to install and worked well for approximately two weeks at which point it stopped working altogether. We took it to a stereo shop and they said it was just dead. There was nothing they could do. Not only did we waste our money on this defective product, but we also had to pay the stereo shop for diagnostics. Definitely do not recommend.
Might be a great unit but I typed in the vehicle and it said the fitment was good. DOES NOT FIT 2003 SILVERADO!!!
