I bought this Jerdon lighted make-up mirror to replace an identical Jerdon mirror that I have had for 20 years. The on/off switch on the old mirror seemed to be failing and I didn't want to risk not having an operational makeup mirror. The Jerdon mirror is perfection! I love the fold-out side mirrors for a nearly 180-degree view of my hair and makeup. The 5x magnification mirror is vital for me since I wear glasses for nearsightedness - it makes applying eye makeup a breeze. While not exactly travel-friendly, I have taken my mirror on car trips and appreciate that it folds up compactly to stow in a duffel bag. It is awesome to be able to see to put on my makeup in a hotel room! I agree with other reviewers who have mentioned that some of the mirror's light settings are a little weird. I use the Daylight or Home settings. I am 64 years old and have used a makeup mirror since I got my first job at age 20. That first Clairol mirror lasted a good 22 years. Clairol perhaps sold the design rights to Jerdon because it is identical in every way, especially the reliability. I am just now replacing the Jerdon I purchased to replace the old Clairol! Don't hesitate to buy one of these mirrors! There's nothing to assemble - you literally just plug it in. After using it for a couple of days you will wonder how you got along without it!
I wanted. trifold makeup mirror, like I had growing up. They were hard to find. This was the only one, the Jerdon that checked ALL the boxes. It's trifold, had a regular walk plug, not a USB charger, and 5x magnifying side. They light could be a little more bright. But I choose this one over all the generic looking ones they have now.
I owned one of these for over 2 decades and was very satisfied until my cat, Kyra, decided to knock it over and break the part that holds the mirror. I didn't hesitate to replace it with the same item. The newer one is exactly like the original except that the on/off switch is better. You don't have to hold it down for a second, instead it turns on and off like a wall light switch. A definite improvement on an already great product.
I've had similar mirrors in the past and like the way they give a three mirror adjustable view. This new one has updated lighting and mirror features. I am very happy with my new mirror!
This is the third jourdon mirror I've had in my life. I'm old school and love that it's the best magnifying mirrror ever. I love that the two mirrors on each side shows my face/hair. I've had these makeup mirrors since my early 20's. I'm now 79.
My other one lasted 18 years, and was working fine until it got knocked off the vanity table, and broke. Was very happy to find another one, same great quality.
this is just like my old conair mirror. perfect lighting since it has a slider dial. i see this mirror being with me a long time. it also has a stand on the back to change the height
Jerdon trifold makeup mirror is the best makeup mirror. I love the side mirrors when you open it up and the 5x magnification is a tremendous help when applying makeup and for spotting those surprise hairs that pop up and applying eye makeup.
The stand offers a variety of angles and is easy to adjust. The different lighting options are easily adjustable also. I am extremely pleased with the electric connection.
Like it very much. My only complaint is that the plug in outlet is in the front and that makes it difficult to use something with a large plug. If it was on the side it would be much more convenient.
