Glad to be able to get the set to complete our collection.
I have always liked Tom Selleck on Tv and movies and these movies did not disappoint. Will keep them to share and watch again.
Jesse Stone, a.k.a Tom Selleck, is a not-so-liked Police Chief of a small town. This series is extremely intriguing while bringing about an old school love of crime drama! I absolutely love this purchase!!!
I recently purchased volume 1 and volume 2 of the Jesse Stone movies. In response to "JarrodFamily" post of 12/ 20/ 2014 while the chronological order was indeed mixed up the disc label that reads "Thin Ice" & "Stone Cold" was actually correct for my set. Same with the "Death in Paradise" & "No Remorse" disc. Perhaps the manufacturer caught the error and corrected it before the number of units produced was completed. Excellent acting by all rather than just relying on computer graphics to carry the movie. High class " Whodunnit" detective stories. Characters nicely developed and the storylines kept Integrity intact from movie to movie. Either way... the Jesse Stone series is one you will go back to again! :-)
If you like mystery stories, these are good ones.
Great movies. Wish the price we better and shipping was quicker. Took 2 weeks.
JESSE STONE ONE OF MY FAVORITES
I found it quite entertaining. The entrapment of the criminals was great! The strangeness of the characters was quite comical, especially Jesse's pal Reggie. I would recommend.Gg
Episodes are not in order. Makes it hard to watch.
Volume 1 & 2 are a great price for all 8 of the movies (and they save on shelf space). However, the movies that come on Volume 1 & 2 are all out of chronological order, so you're going to have to do a little Jesse Stone detective work when you watch them if you want to watch them in the right order (which might get you in the mood to watch a detective show). Not only are both volumes jumbled, Volume 1 has an additional problem: The artwork printed on the actual discs are misprinted. The discs are mislabeled. The disc label that reads "Death In Paradise" & "No Remorse" actually has the "Thin Ice" & "Stone Cold" movies on it's menu respectively. The disc labeled "Thin Ice" & "Stone Cold" actually has "Death In Paradise" & "No Remorse" on the menu when you put it in the player. You put in either disc and it has the other disc's movies on it. (They must have been confused at the factory and sent through the wrong-labeled discs to be burned, twice, because both discs are backwards.) But, you will have all the movies in the collection, they look and sound great, are all in Widescreen, and you tend to forget the disc inconveniences while you're watching the shows. It might help to have a disc directory in the cases to help you out. Here is the correct chronological order I printed out and stuck in my DVD cases: 1. Jesse Stone: Night Passage (January 15, 2006) a prequel to Stone Cold -Volume 2 2. Stone Cold: (February 20, 2005) -Volume 1 Opposite Disc 3. Jesse Stone: Death In Paradise (April 30, 2006) -Volume 1 Opposite Disc 4. Jesse Stone: Sea Change (May 22, 2007) -Volume 2 5. Jesse Stone: Thin Ice (March 1, 2009) -Volume 1 Opposite Disc 6. Jesse Stone: No Remorse (May 9, 2010) -Volume 1 Opposite Disc 7. Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost (May 22, 2011) -Volume 2 8. Jesse Stone: Benefit Of The Doubt (May 20, 2012) -Volume 2
