Jetson Obsidian Folding Kick Scooter

Very good, strong and inexpensive scooter. Thoughtful design. Quality build. There are no backlashes. Rubber tires eliminate road noise. The rough coating of the surface of the deck does not allow the legs to slip off. There are 3 fixed positions of the steering wheel in height and a folding footrest. The scooter folds easily. Suitable for children and adults.

My 9 year old loves this scooter. Great for going on the canal path were normal scooters can't go. Even has a kick stand which is handy. Just as nice quality as much more expensive brands.

Perfect gift for my 10 year old.This scooter is awesome. It looks great and is very smooth to ride. My younger son has a standard razor scooter, and I can tell you that this scooter is far faster and smoother. I bought it for my elder, but after using it a few times, I think I will be riding it as well.

The scooter has this far been sturdy and made for some good rides with the kids. The only strike would be that the base is wobbly. If I was to push too hard on one side or the other it gives impression it would break. That's easily handled by keeping a good balance and by no means would keep me from purchasing again. It's easy and compact and even has a nice kickstand.

I remain impressed with the value of the Obsidian. However, my rear wheel was rubbing when I received it due to poor assembly and the steering doesn't work smoothly (sticks at various points). Hopefully it will improve with use. And no matter how tight I make the locks, the steering bar has a lot of play in it.

The scooter is definitely better than our old Razor Scooters, but i was hoping that the wheels would be softer with more air as opposed to as hard as they are. Perhaps that makes them more durable but takes away some of the cushion.

Pro: low cost; large size wheels (8''). Con: Cheaply made. The ball bearing for front wheel bar was completely damaged after only a couple of months, see attached picture. Besides, the folding lever is hard to release.
