I picked this up mostly as a sort of cheap insurance policy. I actually had a $100 dash cam in my old Corolla that totally let me down during an accident—it recorded right before and right after the hit, but missed the actual jolt, which was super annoying. But even that little bit of footage helped me out with insurance because they could see I was going straight. So for 30 bucks, this thing is a steal just to have that backup evidence. It says it records in 4K, and the picture quality actually looks pretty good on both the front and back cameras. To be honest, I don’t think 4K is the most important thing for a dash cam—it’s more about the bitrate and the sensor—but for what you pay, the quality is definitely sharp enough. The setup is pretty much plug-and-play. It uses a USB-C connection and they give you a car charger and a cable that's definitely long enough to route around the trim. They also included a kit for the rear camera, so you can have it on while parking or even connect it to your car’s screen if you want. The unboxing experience was actually surprisingly nice for something this cheap; it comes in a solid box that I’ll probably keep for storing random CS project parts or cables. When you do the math, spending 30 bucks one time is way better than getting in a wreck with no proof and watching your insurance rates jump by 50 or 60 bucks a month. It’s a buy for sure if you just want some peace of mind while driving.
Very easy to setup and use. With all the events that happen on the road one definitely needs to have this dash cam. It is 4k and has a rear camera as well. Very good clear picture
Easy to install. Good instructions and works well. The cost is good for the small camera, which gives a clear picture.
It's small, compact. which is a major plus. It doesn't stand out when affixed tot he car windshield. I like that they provided numerous connections and a car light charger. The back camera was a bonus.
The front camera itself feels decent quality but the instructions were extremely bare bones. There was no detailed information on how to install the rear camera so I just couldn't use it, there are no explanations for the settings or modes, and the app is clunky and connects to the camera via a built-in wifi which makes it impossible for me to use my Android Auto. The video quality is fine and the front camera was easy to install (though I have no idea what the settings mean), which would be this cams main saving grace.
