I've been using these for ad looking as I can remember. They're super easy to use and I've gotten wonderful results. I think the previous reviewer had a bit of user error although I'm not sure how considering these things are idiot-proof. I know when to transplant when the roots start growing THROUGH the netting that holds the peat in to create the grow pods. The only problem I've ever had was some VERY old ones that wouldn't expand. Happy growing!

The only reason that i didn't give it a 5 star is because I wish the peat pellets were a little larger.

Started my seeds and they didn't come up. I blamed the seeds so replanted. Still nothing so I started seeds with other pellets I had just bought in the store. . I had success. I then used the pellets to replant other seeds and still no success. I believe it is the pellets. Beware, what a waste of time.

I used these to start a number of seeds for our 2019 veggie garden. I lost all of them because at the time, I was unaware that the mesh holding the peat together does not allow for root growth. The tightly woven PLASTIC mesh does not biodegrade, or allow for root outgrowth. And, it’s impossible to salvage seedlings started in Jiffy peat pellets.
