These are more or less comparable to a fast food sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. Maybe not quite as good, but the relative cost and convenience still makes these a great value. I used to go with the Great Value ones but the quality of those fell sharply in the past year or two as the price skyrocketed.
The quality of these heat-n-eat sandwiches is comparable to the Fast Food breakfast sandwiches served locally--just without the drive-thru or counter hassle. I've been a fan for over 6-plus years now. The choices offered have expanded in recent years: Check out your grocer's freezer case!
Jimmy Dean makes a great breakfast! Also for those people who don't like cheese like one member of my family they come crisply frozen so that you can take the piece of cheese off and just have egg and sausage. I suppose if you didn't like egg or didn't like sausage you could just have a cheese an egg or cheese and sausage sandwich too either way they just take a short time in the microwave and you've got a great breakfast. Definitely worth the money and definitely better tasting than most of the generic brands.
Great for quick on the go breakfast! I change the microwave directions to insure heated all the way through. I separate the bread and cheese from the egg and sausage and place on a microwave plate and cook for 95 seconds on 30%. Next I reassemble the sandwich and heat for 75 seconds high power
The breakfast sandwich is good, but the heating instructions and packaging is not. You cannot heat everything together in the individual package, the cheese melts all over and the biscuit if overcooked. With the Jimmy Dean English Muffin sandwich, the packaging allows you to remove the top so the egg and sausage can be heated separately in the bottom piece. I prefer the English Muffin Sausage Egg %26 Cheese Biscuit.
I still really like these breakfast sandwiches but they have been put on the shrunkflation list. Their taste has also changed, the sausage is a bit spicier than before. I'll continue to buy and recommend them because they are a fast and easy breakfast for on the go.
Fast, easy breakfast. I put them in the fridge the night before I am going to enjoy them for breakfast (It doesn't take as long to microwave them if they're thawed) and then heat them up, splash on a little French's mustard and Lowery's Season salt and breakfast is ready with minimum fuss or mess. For added flavor I wash them down with V8 Splash Berry Mix or Great Value Cran/raspberry juice. Just sayin'
I love Jimmy Dean's breakfast sandwiches. This time the frozen breakfast sandwiches seemed a little freezer burn but they tasted okay. I usually add a little salt and pepper to make it taste better. I will buy these again for me and my family. They're great for an easy no mess breakfast at home or on the go. I take bread off of the sandwiches and heat the eggs, sausage, %26 cheese for a min then take them out and cook the frozen biscuits for 40 seconds then put the sandwiches together again and back in the microwave for another 30-40 seconds. That way the whole sandwich is cooked evenly and you don't have a hard biscuit because the microwave overheats the bread if you cook the sandwiches as a whole.
The new sandwiches are probably 3/4 the size of the old ones. You used to get some much cheese it would drape over the sides of the sandwich, but now it is completely covered by the biscuit. I’m not even exaggerating when I saw the cheese is half the size it used to be. Somehow the calorie information hasn’t changed, which obviously can’t be true! I’m not buying these anymore.
This product is garbage. The product was changed recently. What was once sausage is now ‘Soy’. There may be some sausage but the new product is soy. Garbage…..but cheap.
