I have tried dozens of other store, name, %26 even the locally popular country store homemade brands. There is no other that I will ever buy. Jimmy Dean is the only sausage that has the perfect chefs kiss blend of seasonings for all of their kinds of flavored sausages. Whether you choose their Regular, Sage, Hot, Maple, or Italian sausages, you're going to know that the Jimmy Dean family of sausages are simply the best over all others.
The spiciness of this sausage is just right and I dislike hot cuisine that sets you on fire. I am an absolute loyal Jimmy Dean sausage customer. This brand never has too much fat, just enough to make it tender palatable and not needing to add anything. I use regular or italian and no beef in my marinara sauce for pasta and relatives rave about that marinara sauce.
If you are lucky enough to marry a man that does everything well then you must know you got to keep them on their toes. My husband is a trained chef and I make everything from scratch so biscuits and gravy keep a little kick with this sausage. Not a single bite left.
Yum! Always perfect. Amazing taste. I grew up eating and loving Jimmy dean sausage and never disappoints. The product or dishes made with used to win awards when I was kid. I use this sausage in my spaghetti sauce (crowd pleaser), beans and rice, breakfast sandwiches, along side eggs. Gumbo plus as a true southerner with my grits and eggs. I am grateful It is a delicious name brand that I can afford. Virtually no grease To drain when you brown it. if I use the grease for sauteing vegetables there is nothing to drain. It is much easier than browning ground beef. The package size is perfect.
When I'm cooking sausage for the family, I usually stick with the regular version, but when it's just for me, it has to be the hot Jimmy Dean. It has a great kick of spice without being overwhelming, and the flavor is always spot on. This sausage works great for sandwiches and is perfect for making spicy meatballs too. It cooks up nicely and has that classic, high-quality taste you expect from Jimmy Dean. Overall, if you like a little heat in your meals, this is a great option. Definitely a go-to for adding some extra flavor!
love Jimmy.Dean hot sausage. I use it to make my sausage balls and since there's very low in fat they make for a great sausage ball. wouldn't use any other brand.
I love the Jimmy Dean pork hot sausage rolls in the mornings. They are great on the side with eggs and hash browns. They are also great cooked and added to biscuits, making great breakfast sausage biscuits!
You can always depend on Jimmy Dean Sausage. Used for a delicious breakfast layered dip. Warm of course. Not a smidgen left for the last biscuit. Very easy to crumble and cook. Try it, you'll like it!
I've purchased these things in the store, but because I couldn't drive For a week or so I ordered online for delivery pick up and had my daughter pick up for me. To my disappointment, one of the items came to me expired, which was package sausage and the other package of the same item expired the following day the people who work in the store to pull these items for pick up or delivery need to pay more attention to the dates on the products specially if it's cold food, usually when I buy this in person, it has a good a couple of weeks, refrigeration life. The other item I bought, which was mayonnaise based was a pantry item that came with the cold items which means I had to put it in the refrigerator instead of in my pantry to use several months down the road so I couldn't put it in my pantry and let it get back to room temperature. I was afraid of it having botulism or whatever happens when mayonnaise goes from cold to room temperature. My biggest complaint is that your shoppers need to look at the dates the one item shouldn't have even been on the shelf or should've been reduced for purchase for that day only and had to be used by that day. Hopefully it won't happen again thank you.
The sausage was not hot as before the color was not the same. I was afraid to eat it. I had a small amount left from when I brought from the other day so I ate that.
