I've been buying Jimmy Dean sausage for years. It's also the sausage we southerners use to make sausage gravy for our biscuits.

Prefer the taste and convenience of Jimmy Dean precooked sausage patties, but they are too expensive... more for just 4 patties than for this whole roll. If this roll gets more expensive, will just give up ssusage. Buy this and freeze slices in between wax paper slices for "as needed" use. Next will try the medium spice version.

Something has changed over the years and it seems like too much fillers or something else was added. It doesn't have the great taste it used to have. Guess they started adding something to stretch out the profit margin but in the meantime they'll lose customers like me that knows something is off with the taste!

Fresh premium sausage expired on September 2, received September 3. The shopper should check expiration dates and/or advise customer. Expired merchandise should be removed, I disposed of them (two packages)!! Personally, this should be an automatic procedure. I will find someway to mention this in my fresh foods orders.
