This is the best tasting patty sausage in my opinion. I've tried other brands when on sale etc. and am always disappointed compared to the taste of Jimmy Dean's. During the egg price bubble I started having this sausage instead of eggs for breakfast daily to save money. Eggs are back to normal price now but I've stayed with this as my morning protein. it's yummy. Easily cooks up in the air fryer: Line air fryer basket bottom with aluminum foil. form 1/4 pound of sausage into 5" patty. Cook at 325F for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for 8 minutes more.
This particular item was great. But I also had a family pack of lemon Oreo cookies that were all broken up scattered all over the package and just horrible, like someone had played ball with the package. So dissatisfied 😡 Threw them away. Should have returned them!
This is the most delicious sausage to make sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy. Fry 32 oz of sausage in a skillet. When it is thoroughly cooked, do not drain the grease; leave it in the pan with the cooked sausage. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of flour over the cooked meat and grease in the skillet and stir until the meat is evenly coated with flour. Cook over medium heat until the flour is lightly browned. Add 3-4 cups of milk and stir over medium heat and stir until the gravy thickens. You may need to add more milk if it is too thick. Add salt and pepper to taste at the end. Serve over biscuits.
This sausage is great for just about any recipe that calls for meat. It cooks up evenly, and it's so flavorful! I like getting the larger container, as I like to cut it up and freeze what I won't be using immediately. Plus, more often than not, it's less money this way.
This is always on my list at Sam's and Walmart. Sometimes I cook the whole package and use part of it for pizza, spaghetti, or even just to toss on salads. It can easily be cut in half, bagged, and frozen. We like the taste. Jimmy Dean makes great products.
I like to slice these and make my own sausage patties for sandwiches. I have bought in the past the frozen sausage patties that don't even compare. I suggest you just make your own with this. It has great flavor. The seasoning that you get from Jimmy Dean is second to none.
To me, breakfast sausage is all about the grind of the meat and the seasoning added to that grind. Jimmy Dean just does it better all the rest! Of course I cut it into patties for breakfast sometime but I also use it when I make sausage gravy. Cook it into crumbles and dump it into Pioneer Sausage for a really quick sausage gravy to spoon over Pillsbury biscuits!
The quantity and quality is suitable for the amount of growing boys I need to feed! Lots of possibility to get creative with your cooking. Crumbled in cheesy casseroles with some has browns, eggs, and onions and you've got something prepped for breakfast on busy weekdays or weekends, or even on holidays for cookouts where you're tasked with feeding crowds throughout the day. Or maybe you prefer a classic patty!? Tastes great and I have yet to encounter one of those hard bits that makes ground meat a little “suss,” as the kids say. It's a staple that we cook and eat fresh or freeze for later!
Driver did his job, knocked on door and Rang doorbell to let me know he was here. What needs to be done better is items that are soft should be packed without being smashed like my bread. Also kept me waiting for hours after requested time to receive delivery making it imposable to leave. Not a good way to do treat your customers.
I only buy this size when they're out of the smaller package. I cut the pack in half and hope that refreezing it will save the expiration date. But this is my most favorite meat, so marking do not replace is not an option. You haven't lived 'till you've had a Jimmy Dean Pork pattie on toasted whole grain bread.
