The quality of the product is superb for the price point. The quality of audio is on par with other microphones but at higher price points. So if you are a budget conscious person, a streamer, a musiciat, a podcaster, a youtuber and you need a good quality microphone look no further. It also looks modern, I have not started my streams yet but once I do I know I can depend on this device to deliver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the quality of this product. Especially now working from home you need good audio. I tried it out with calling my mom over Skype and she was so impressed how clear my voice was instead of my laptop microphone. I love the design of this microphone. JLab is just such a good brand to buy from. I would defend recommend this microphone for everyone that works from home right now or does YouTube or podcast or sings this microphone is amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this microphone! Let's start off with the physical aspects: it's very portable! All you need is a USB/USB C cable (which they provide--it's super long!) to plug into a computer and you're good to go. The tripod screws onto the base of the pic stand and is very stable when placed on a hard surface--it even has little rubber grips on the end to keep things in place. It feels pretty sturdy overall for a consumer electronic device. The feature design is very intuitive and simple to use. I love that you can quickly change modes for directionality based on what you are recording. The recording itself is nice and clear and it's great at filtering out background noises. If you're looking for a great mic at a great price for recording a podcast or a stream, you can't go wrong with this set up!
I was so excited when I saw JLab was going to create usb Microphones. I've been purchasing JLab products since the J4 earbuds. I loved unboxing my Talk Pro. It has a sleek and fun look to it, and I couldn't wait to put it to use. It was truly plug and play. I ran a few tests with recordings and then used it in my staff meeting and it worked flawlessly! However, when I finished i wrapped everything up back in the box to take it back to my office. The next day when I tried to use it. My microphone kept intermittently turning on the silent button on its own. Possibly it's a cable issue. Maybe it wrapping the cable to put it back in the box I caused a kink in the line? I'm not really sure, because the microphone lights Up and stays powered on, but it keeps fluctuating between silent and live. So I'm not sure ally sure what is going on there. I sent an email to support but due to the holiday weekend they still have another business day to contact me. I'm still hopeful, I've loved everything JLab has made. And I'm positive they will help make it right!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JLab Audio Talk Pro is an excellent studio quality USB mic at a competitive price. It has 4 different patterns (cardioid, stereo, omni, bi) so it's useful in a variety of situations. It's great for zoom calls, podcasts, especially when pandemic is still ongoing. I'm pleased with the usb mic so far
On my Intel-based ASUS laptop (Zenbook 15), everything works fine, including USB-C ports. Yet, on my Ryzen PC, NONE of the back USB ports work, not even the USB-C (all are USB3.2 here). Somehow the front panel USB works (USB2.0 ports)... but with static noise. So Ryzen users should aware. Otherwise the mic works good with Intel rig. FYI, the motherboard is ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PLUS with latest BIOS and AMD Chipset drivers installed. Using Win10 Pro ver 20H2
The 3.5 headphone jack does not let me monitor my recordings at all! I get NO sound at all through my headphones while recording, which is important for my purposes. Is there something I need to press 3 times or something? I have tried different cords, different headphones, different recording apps, even (I was getting desperate) different standing positions and nothing. Cant monitor jack.....More recently the mic has started to randomly turn off on its own. Again I tried several things (different cords, etc) and still annoyingly happens. I want to like this mic it sounds great and i like the form factor and everything. Am I be doing something wrong? As is I give it three stars and only because i think the sound quality is excellent. Just wish some very basic issues would get fixed or maybe i have a deffective unit?
This mic was a blast to use during the initial month or two of owning it. I use it to run a podcast, and the mic stays in the middle of my table and never moves. Suddenly, my computer stops being able to detect it. I've gone through all my firewall and privacy settings and even got my IT guy to check it out across 3 different devices, all providing the same error. I then saw other users are having difficulties with the mic and having specifically pointed out the lackluster cord it comes with. I have bought another USB cord to replace this one, but of course, this mic has been engineered to have a specific sized USB only the packaged in one can fit into. Other USB cords can't fit into the port cause they're too wide or the prong is not long enough to reach. This is really upsetting. The mic works wonderfully, but the useless, cheap, and defunct USB cord it comes with ruins the whole product.
Sound is good but mute does not work. The red light comes on but it keeps recording.
the microphone records on fast forward, but only when using windows11. tried it on IOS and W10 and it worked perfectly. please update the driver so it works good on W11
