Do not inhale when you spray this. A mask would be a good idea. Don't get it on your skin. Make sure your horse is nowhere near. It is horrendously nasty when it's still in the air. And ... horsey doesn't like it either! It actually seems to be working!
I have a gelding that won't keep wraps on for anything!! This stuff works wonders! However, I suggest spraying it outside because when I did it the smell residue was on the cement for days and would make anyone who passed by while sweeping gag/sneeze/cough.
I bought this because my horse grabs the front of his blankets and pulls on them with his teeth ripping the fronts to shreds. Have used this and haven't had to repair any yet!
My wife's yearling Gypsy gelding had chewed half of my Gypsy's tail off before we got Rap Last. He stopped chewing immediately.
I was at the end of my rope. My OTTB's quest in life was to rip the front closures off of all his sheets and blankets! It did not matter what brand or type the sheet/blanket was. After a couple applications of this he has totally stopped trying. Raplast has saved me me a ton of $$$$ in repairs. It is strong so I apply it then let it the blanket hang out a bit before I put it on.
Silly QH gelding likes to chew on his feeder after eating anything sweet. I can spray this on and it lasts a week. Also had a TWH who thought he was part beaver. He loved to chew fences when bored. This stuff worked even out in elements. I do pull my shirt up over my nose though!
Rap Last is a great training aid. Not only does it stop horses from chewing on leg wraps, but it has saved numerous blankets, sheets, even wood! They get one whiff of Rap Last, and remember it's not a fun thing to put their nose on!
Rap Last on the tails is the only thing I have found to keep the yearlings from chewing on each others tails. Also works good on board to stop chewing.
My gelding used to eat wraps on a regular basis and I was worried about him giving himself a bandage bow in the process. This product works very well but will stain white fabric. Also make sure not to use in an enclosed space.
My TB chewed my QH geldings tail so roughly that it was not only unsightly, but also caused numerous wounds. Bitter Apple, Bitter Orange etc offered zero help. After the first spritz of Rap Last- NO more chewing! I was careful to put ointment over his wou
