I had a previous stocking donner (make?) that had much longer handles. One part of it broke. I wish I had shopped around more for this one.
Excellent - width is excellent for my size 12D feet. Previous purchase was to narrow and the welds did not hold due to excess pressure from my 12D feet. Good design - thanks mike ob
Years ago I watched my wife struggle getting her compression socks on and now neither one of us struggle anymore with the Stocking Donner. And, I really love my Open Toe socks...they very comfortable and look pretty good, too! I'll definitely be back for more.
I was a bit leery of this device when I saw it but I really needed help getting my support stockings on as problems with my back have made me not as flexible as I once was. There is a bit of a learning curve with this device but the directions included and a YouTube video were very helpful. It's really so simple! Shipping was really fast too.
I had high hopes for this but failed to take into account the fact that I am 93, with arthritic hands and back problems. I have great difficulty trying to use it. Believe it or not, it takes me at least 20 minutes, sometimes more, to put on one stocking. So I do not wear them often in spite of what the doctor says. I'm sure this item would be great otherwise.
My doctor recommended this item and said that he has found it very helpful. My experience has been somewhat different. My compression socks are so tight that getting them onto the device is very difficult. Once that has eventually been accomplished, putting the sock onto my leg is easy. I can only recommend that you try this product and see how it works for you.
Didn't work for me; I sent it back for a refund. I had trouble putting the compression knee-high on to the device. It kept slipping off. Then I had trouble putting my foot into the stocking. The whole experience was no different than donning my stockings by hand; difficult in both instances.
if your are under 5 ft. 6 inches this is. ok , maybe. great, Instructions are. no. good ..sending it back after 12. tries I got lucky ,then back to terrible results. Tried with Jo-Vie. not good at all.same with Allegro.. with JOBST - better. results ,but ,takes for ever. In short. not well designed for a public. debut.
This device is meant to help putting on Compression Socks. After placing the sock on the device as directed, When the foot enters the sock, the sides are so slippery that the sock comes right off before the foot goes in. Putting on the socks without using the tool, although hard is much easier than than struggling with this ridiculous device.
I could not get it to work for me. Perhaps if the sock holder was angled like the plastic holder I use now. I was looking for the metal to hold open the sock allowing the foot to slide in easier. The plastic holder gives and makes the hole smaller when trying to slide your foot into your socks.
