this is my go to after bleaching my hair. especially right after and there's a lot of orange. you can see a difference after 1 use but it does need to be used a few times for good results. it does dye your skin but comes off by the time the shower is over and youve washed yourself. I'll leave it on for about 5 min the 1st couple times i use it then 2-3 there after. if youre going platinum it will make the lighter areas have a purple hue like a light lilac which i personally dont mind but some may. it doesnt take the orange completely away but it takes the ugly brassy tone out of it.
Purchased this product after highlighting my hair at home and ending up with some yellow areas. It worked like a charm the first time I used it! I noticed a difference right away! It doesn't smell bad but it also doesn't smell amazing. It also seems a bit drying but that may also be from bleaching my hair so make sure to use a good conditioner with it. All in all very happy with my purchase!
I purchased this product for my daughter after she received a bright blonde hair color. She has been able to maintain the brightness even after several weeks. This purple shampoo helps keep her color from being dull and brassy. She loves it so I will keep purchasing! It definitely makes her hair look full, shiny, and healthy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] John Frieda Violet Crush Shampoo Blond Hair Brightening Blond is a real must-have for people who want to lighten their blonde hair and get rid of the yellow tones. After using this shampoo, I did not notice that my hair was dry, which is a big plus for me. My hair after using it was soft, light and easy to comb. Used together with a conditioner from the same line, it provides comprehensive care and a visible effect after just a few washes. The consistency of the shampoo is pleasant, easily foaming, which makes it efficient and convenient to use. In addition, the fresh, subtle smell makes daily care a real pleasure. Shampoo is very efficient and does not get tangled hair and does not weigh them down. It's an ideal choice for both natural blondes and people with dyed reflexes who want to add shine to their hair and lighten it gently.
Out of all the toning shampoos I have used this one has worked the best! It's very pigmented, smells nice, and lathers up good! I have blonde highlights %26 it toned them up really nice :)
Great product…I would compare to salon quality purple shampoos I have used. Be careful not to leave it in too long…my hair looks a little grey/purple.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my sister as my guinea pig for this as i recently died my hair black. With full consent from my sister I applied to her hair with her hair being blonde/white. After applying the violet shampoo instantly can see a massive difference. My sister absolutely loves her new hair colour she is definitely buying from now on. She is happy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had good experience with shampoo. it does a good job at reducing yellow brassy tones. and makes my hair look noticeably fresher after a couple of washes. it lathers well and feels like it's properly cleans without stripping too much moisture. like most purple shampoo it can be slightly drying if overused, so I balanced it with conditioner. overall, I reliable option to keep your blonde tones.
It's okay. It takes two washings to get it to foam well. The second washing works well. It leaves a deposit on the hair which I'm sure it's meant to do in order to make color last. It does take it longer to blow dry. Make sure and use a brush to blow dry if you don't want dry looking hair, which can happen to gray/white hair. It doesn't leave hair smooth and silky. I'll probably go back to salon shampoo when I finish this bottle. I love the price and it does what it's supposed to do: it just takes longer to smooth hair after drying.
This shampoo is thinner than most, which makes it messy.... Dark purple splashes everywhere in the shower when washing hair and I don't get good lather.... The smell isn't bad.... I Do like how my hair looks after washing... Just don't like the mess....
