John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo for Blondes, 10 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this as part of the violet crush range which works together as a complete hair care routine, and I think it performs really well within the system. The violet pigmentation is effective but still feels really gentle on my hair ( I have extensions ). Some purple shampoos I've used in the past can feel quite drying but this one leaves my hair feeling really soft. It helps neutralise brassiness beautifully without leaving that heavy purple hue instead it gives a lovely natural blonde tone that still feels light bright and fresh. I love it !!!

Purchased this product after highlighting my hair at home and ending up with some yellow areas. It worked like a charm the first time I used it! I noticed a difference right away! It doesn't smell bad but it also doesn't smell amazing. It also seems a bit drying but that may also be from bleaching my hair so make sure to use a good conditioner with it. All in all very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this product for my daughter after she received a bright blonde hair color. She has been able to maintain the brightness even after several weeks. This purple shampoo helps keep her color from being dull and brassy. She loves it so I will keep purchasing! It definitely makes her hair look full, shiny, and healthy!

If you have blonde highlights or brassy hair, look no further! I have been buying this for over 2 years and it works!! Better than any other brand! You only need to use it about 1-2 x a week and it will take out the brass and leave your hair ashy blonde! If you leave it on too long you can get a purple for but it washes out within 1 wash- this is on permanent reorder as long as I have blonde highlights!

this is my go to after bleaching my hair. especially right after and there's a lot of orange. you can see a difference after 1 use but it does need to be used a few times for good results. it does dye your skin but comes off by the time the shower is over and youve washed yourself. I'll leave it on for about 5 min the 1st couple times i use it then 2-3 there after. if youre going platinum it will make the lighter areas have a purple hue like a light lilac which i personally dont mind but some may. it doesnt take the orange completely away but it takes the ugly brassy tone out of it.

Out of all the toning shampoos I have used this one has worked the best! It's very pigmented, smells nice, and lathers up good! I have blonde highlights %26 it toned them up really nice :)

Great product…I would compare to salon quality purple shampoos I have used. Be careful not to leave it in too long…my hair looks a little grey/purple.

It's okay. It takes two washings to get it to foam well. The second washing works well. It leaves a deposit on the hair which I'm sure it's meant to do in order to make color last. It does take it longer to blow dry. Make sure and use a brush to blow dry if you don't want dry looking hair, which can happen to gray/white hair. It doesn't leave hair smooth and silky. I'll probably go back to salon shampoo when I finish this bottle. I love the price and it does what it's supposed to do: it just takes longer to smooth hair after drying.
