This is great! Works really well for applesauce and tomato sauce
It was a good price. It's exactly like I had before and exactly what I was looking for. It works great
We just purchased this recently to make applesauce and were very pleased with the product so far. The speed and efficiency far surpasses the foley we used in years past. You no longer have to core apples which is a big time saver. We ground over a bushel of apples with grand children turning crank. The unit has rubber pads and clamps on counter and stays in place without sliding. The hopper is big and grinding is quiet and easy to turn. The internal drive gear is plastic so apples must cool a little before grinding. We make applesauce in fall and freeze in containers for year round use. Great fun for family project!
I had my own and wanted to get my daughter one since they have a garden and put up a lot of fruit and veggies. I'm very pleased with mine.
The handle is hard to turn until juices get moving, and it falls off easily when not holding onto it, like while loading the hopper or scraping off the cone. But overall, it worked nicely preparing tomatoes for sauce. Clamp holds it nice and firm to the counter top.
good product and timely service
It's no squeezo but does the job. The auger does not extend all the way to the rear hence leaving unmilled material. You need to have continuous pressure on the product to feed the auger. It works ok. I just miss my squeezo
I know someone who has and loves for me it was difficult to clean screen, leaked some but clogged up with the tomatoes I did, if you take the time to remove skins first it might work better and not clog up the screen but the idea of getting this was to save time which is did not do for me, but I only wanted it for tomatoes might work well for other projects
nylon seal on crank handle shaft does not prevent liquid from leaking out.
it does the job well, but trying to get the screen off the machine after use is almost impossible. it gets wedged on from the turning of the handle. and then again, the handle likes to fall out of the end as it just pushes in. I am returning it because of the screen issue. I can't fight with it every time I need to clean it out, and I cannot imagine not bending it sometime.
