wonderful for smaĺl items like jalopenàand olives and garlic.
I have been wanting a mandoline for a while so as soon as I saw this campaign I was excited to get this cute, small and handy mandoline. While I like it, I think it slices way too thin for my liking. I also wish the protective slide guide could snap on the slicer when not in use. I like it though. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is the perfect product for me. It is small and compact while being very effective for my uses. It is so easy to clean up either by hand or to throw on the top shelf of my dishwasher. No fuss! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
I tried the Joie Mini Mandoline. It works quite well for a mini. It used it to slice cucumbers. The slices came out thin which is great for a salad. The mandoline also comes with a second piece that is like a handle. This can be used to hold the vegetable as the slices are made. I like that it is plastic for easy washing. It is also small enough to store in your drawer of utensil jar. I received this in exchange for my honest opinion.
I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. I wish it sliced the vegetables a little more thicker. There is barely any space in between so the sliced vegetables come out very thin. The grip does attach to the produce well. I love the compact size. Just wished that it sliced a bit thicker or that you could adjust how thin/thick you want the vegetables to be.
The Joie Mini Mandoline is essentially a neat little fruit and veggie slicer. It allows you to conveniently cut your fruits and vegetables into small slices. Perfect for cutting up veggies for salads or fruits for fruit salads, or just to eat as is. It has two pieces, and is very easy to use. The smaller piece is a protective slide guide, which keeps your fingers safely away from the blade. Then you have the larger piece which actually does the slicing, it's a nice solid feeling handle with pretty good grip, and you have the blade centered in the upper end of it. Simply use the slide in a back and forth motion with your veggie or fruit choice pressed against the blade, slicing them in thinly sliced pieces ready to add to your favorite dish. If you're looking for a simple effective way to slice your vegetables or fruits and save time, this is it. *Disclaimer- I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion.*
I was excited to try this because getting out my big slicer or food processor is a pain. I used it with radishes and carrots. It sliced both very well and the handle is nice to hold when what you are slicing gets small. I did try some larger vegetables (potato, tomato, zucchini) and they were too big to be sliced. The only thing I would change would be the handle - if it was just a little bit bigger, it would be easier to hold on to. Overall, I'll continue to use for small foods. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
I have really enjoyed having this new little gadget in my kitchen! It's perfectly compact so it doesn't take up too much counter or drawer space. I love using it to slice up some carrots for a salad or zuccini to saute up in a pan. It's so convenient! My only negative comment is that the sliding piece you use to hold the slicable product in place slices around a lot. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
The Joie Min Mandoline is compact and sturdy with a nice design. The blade is definitely sharp as well. I was disappointed when I attempted to slice a cucumber though because the slices were paper thin, inconsistent in size and more of a clump than a slice. I'm curious if something like a potato or radish may get sliced better, so I will try. For the price and size, it's a fun little tool to have, it just didn't suit my slicing needs today! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
I tried to use this to slice radishes. I bought this because it seemed simple and had decent reviews. There were pictures of radishes on the packaging, so I figured it was fit for the job. I didn't realize until I was essentially mashing my radishes that this is not an adjustable slicer. It could not complete a slice so matter what I did. The cut was so thin it was basically just mashing instead of slicing. This was my first time using it, and it went straight into the trash after.
