this shelf stable kimchi is delicious. i like the small pouch making it easy for a single serving. easy to store in the pantry. bigger containers may be a better value but these are convenient...plus compared to other brands, i like the taste of these. i was having these fedex shipped regularly but now out of stock. hope they become available again
I've wanted to try kimchi for a while now after seeing it featured in various TV shows. I always watch characters eat and make it, and I knew I wouldn't have the chance to travel to try it fresh. So, when I came across it, I had to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised when I took my first bite and was hit by all the seasoned flavors, balancing spice and sweetness from the cabbage. If I could have kimchi all the time, I would pair it with many different dishes, especially sandwiches. The tomato flavor was delightful as well. I hope to find a jar of this amazing stuff one day!
This is absolutely delicious. It is shelf stable but I put mine in the refrigerator when I receive it. I just prefer it cold. There's not a lot in the pouch but it is plenty for a little taste of kimchi on the side. It is not overly hot but there is some spice to it. And very fresh tasting. I only buy this when I see it on sale. Otherwise it's way too expensive for the little amount that you get. I definitely will buy this again.
I really enjoy this type of Kimchi! It is not super spicy as other Kimchi, so my lack of gall bladder doesn't matter as much. It's win-win! Too bad it doesn't come in a bigger pouch, but it's inexpensive for the light eaters, and if you're just one person eating it, you can split it into two American servings. :)
I got it for probiotics so I'm assuming that was not a problem. My stomach did not hurt at all. I thought it tasted pretty good. It's a small pouch to be honest. I ate it in one afternoon. I would get it again because it doesn't taste bad.
Great option to have as a bamchan (side dish) when eating some good Korean food or just white rice. Portion is enough for two people. Tastes lake coming out of an actual Korean Restaurant.
The packages were small. I put 2 pkgs. in a kimchee jar of the same brand that I had bought before, thinking I would refill it. These 2 pkgs. filled 1/8th of the jar. Same brand. For the price nope. The taste was not good. It was hard to distinguish the vegetables from the sauce.
What a laugh I had when I looked at the package. They say there are three servings in this 2.8 oz package. That makes it the most expensive kim chi I have bought. It's ok but not worth the price. And I challenge anyone to get three servings out of this package. Rip off .
It has a weird savory taste to it. I couldn't figure it out. Looked at the ingredients and it might be the yeast. Noticed it was vegan. My preferred Kimchi has shrimp or oysters. This is disappointing.
they charged me 10$ for one pack. i thought ,because the picture shows the box with several packages, this order was for several packages. 10$ for one pack of kimchi is absolutely outrageous. its 2$ in the store so i thought 10 would be a box of kimchi packets. theres a reason they put that picture of the box with multiple packages. that reason is to scam people.
