It has a smooth texture with pits; nice flavor.

I have ordered three bags and the dates have been perfect. I will order again but I will check bag over carefully and return to store if moldy or fermented as previous reviewers described.

Fresh and delicious

I love these dates. But my issue with a few bags I've had was the off-putting black mold in them. I keep them in the refrigerator and they were supposedly good until next year! Very disappointing.

I had to discard 4-6 of them due to black mold inside.

I was so excited for these since they were organic. I took the package inside immediately after delivery and opened the bag the day after they were delivered. After opening, I immediately smelled a rotten and almost fermented smell. I'm so sad they are bad.

I've purchased this brand well over 10 times. Let me just say I absolutely love dates so much, (and most fruits) that despite the fact they sold me unripe, hard, dry dates multiple times... I still went back for more, hoping for good ones. Well at this point I'm finally done. It seems the ENTIRE bag of medjool dates is either good or bad. It's not usually mixed. It's either mostly good, or all unripe, or all moldy. Yes, I've recieved moldy dates on at least 2 occasions. I'm more upset about the unripe ones. I've purchased this brand in different sizes, and even the cardboard box they sell. Mostly unripe, hard, and dry... and not like dried dates which are actually good. Dry, hard, tasteless, not ripe, very unpleasant to chew. SO hard to find good fruit these days. I pray that in the future there will be organic farms EVERYWHERE and get rid of all this mass produced crap! Commercialism. Silently killing us all. Produced for profit and consumerism. I'm contacting Walmart customer service for a return or refund. "Simply Nuts" brand was ok but they weren't organic and I'm sensitive to trace chemicals so my mouth and throat can get irritated sometimes, as well cause inflammation and fatigue.

Half of the dates were rotten containing black mold inside of them.

These arrived fermented and rotten 2/3 times, and “a little off” the other time. Not worth it.
