Oh my gosh, I almost didnt order these because I read a lot of reviews, also on another popular website. Well they were absolutely perfectly for me. I use Amish mushroom kernel (and store in airtight container. I use a 1100 watt microwave; I was surprised the instructions said to lower power if burning occuring. Because I cook full power. I had been using cuisn**rt collaspible bowl for years and still love it, but it holds 10 cups of popped corn - no wonder I was gaining weight. These are perfect portion control. They are really hot after popping - always use protection. Also the correct amount of popcorn to put in it - just shy of 1/4 cup. If you fill it full level with the bottom mark, you will have popcorn popping out of container and into microwaved, just makes a good snack, but as soon as I reduced slightly I can pop now and not one spills out. As far as lids not staying closed, they do, I do store them flaps closed, but its silicone so its just a feel good thing since so other reviewers mentioned flaps not staying closed. And, FYI, they do come up during the popping, they are supposed too.
Fantastic! So Easy. And without oil or butter! And if you add a sweetener beforehand, afterwards it is easy to clean. The time needed in the microwave is a bit of a guessing game though.
Simple, but useful design. I had no problem with the flaps or popped corns getting scattered in the microwave. The only downside is that I cannot use butter.
Bought as a Christmas gift but recipients delighted
Much smaller than I thought they would be.
Smaller than expected and the whole container really gets hot so you have to be very careful and use a pot holder to pick them up. This makes it hard to eat the popcorn from the container.
One of the corn poppers had a torn flap so is unusable. I do like the convenience of popping corn in the microwave, however, you need to watch constantly as sometimes a flap opens early and the corns pops out all over the microwave.
Cute for my popcorn but it doesn't work in the mircowave the way it says they should
Sadly I am very disappointed by these :-( When they arrived they smelt so rubbery that I decided to give them a quick wash before using - unfortunately the flaps seem to be very thinly attached and the grey one tore - not much, an inch in from the edge. This has affected the way the flaps stay down though and the popcorn usually burns because the flaps don't pop up as easily. In contrast, the orange one is much more thickly built - this also affects the way the flaps stay down - or don't. The orange flaps will not stay down and pop up seconds into cooking causing popcorn to ping all over the inside of my microwave. These seemed like such an amazing idea - but in practice I regret buying them.
It opens at the first few pops and leaves the microwaveoven full of popcorn
