I was pleasantly surprised when I received all my Joy shaving goodies, including the razor, shaving cream and refill cartridges. The razor looks so cute in my bathroom and I love the grip handle, makes it easy to shave in a rush!
It's all I use. I really like them
smooth skin after use
I started using the joy razor about 3 years ago. it is great for a smooth shave! I have bought nothing but this razor for the past 3 years and never had any issues. also, they are cheaper than the Venus and the other brands. if they ever ran out of these I would panic. I highly recommend this razor.
The razor blades do a good job and are staying sharp. I really dislike the handle, though. It's almost a perfect cylinder; there are no flattened indentations for my fingers to grip. Since the whole process of shaving is a slippery, soapy business, I really don't feel like have I have good control and the whole thing could twirl like a top in my hand at any moment. I'm going to try a different brand when these 2 starter blades are done.
It didnt get the job done like how it was supposed to and it left me with lots of unwanted razor bumps!!!!! Will never use this brand ever again in my life
Not a smooth save AT ALL! Doesn't glide across the skin, more or less squeaks and drags the whole waY. You will be left with stubble and a razor burn.
This is the typical BIC razor and felt like it!! Made to compete with razors like Billie and flamingo, it falls WAY short. I threw it away after 2 uses. I have tried billie, flamingo, and joy looking for the best shave. This was horrible. It felt cheap, the shave was not smooth, and I hated it. It's the same as the very cheap BIC razors with a bigger price tag. I would vote Billie razor in 1st place, then flamingo. Joy doesn't even make the cut.
Definitely not buying again. They are terrible. I usually buy Venus razor but saw so much advertisement for these it made me want to try them. However, they don't have a good grip on them- it's so hard to shave when you can barley hold your razor.. that probably is why I am ALWAYS cutting myself with it. I haven't had a time where I don't leave the shower with cuts on my legs because of this. It's not that I'm a reckless shaver either.. I literally NEVER cut myself with my Venus one. When you're shaving it feels terrible and is painful. Save your money, don't buy. Pay a little more for better quality.
I don't know why everyone seems to like this razor. I bought it today and just finished my shower. It's the worst one I've ever used. I'm going to throw it out and buy a different one tomorrow to finish. I'm not letting my teenage daughter use it because it will tear her legs up. It felt dull and about to slice me at any moment on the first use. It's so small you have to use twice as many strokes to finish. Huge waste of time and a terrible cut. I'm 40 and I've been shaving for nearly 30 years now and I've used Gillette for an awful lot of them, but this one is a huge disappointment. The "moisturizing strip" is non-existent and it doesn't even come with something to hang it in the shower. I'd rather pay a little more for a better product, than save a couple bucks and be miserable.
