The pieces are big so hard to lose. The game board is actually a rug so is washable. Bought as a gift for 6 yr old who loves playing checkers at Cracker Barrel.

I ordered four of the Jumbo checker games for a cub scout gathering game. THe Parents and scouts loved them! I will use them again for a family reunion that is coming up this summer! I also liked that there was a plastic sack to store the rug and checkers in.

Purchased this for my 6 yr old and she loves it! She has now taught my 4 yr old to play. We love it!

This game needs to be played either on floor or table or lalflat t surfaces. Good for those that have poor eye sight, but not if color blind.

Love this old fashioned game which requires thinking and strategy. Fun to use indoors or out. Wish there was a drawstring bag included to keep the checkers in. The large checkers make it more fun somehow! Surprisingly, the adults loved it as much as the kids.

I bought this for my son, he is 5 and enjoys learning to play chess and checkers. He and my 3 year old daughter play and the pieces are big enough for both to handle, and not as easy to loose asregular checkers. The only downfall is that the product comes with a large zip-loc bag to store the rug & checkers in...I will be purchasing a plastic container since I anticipate the bag not lasting very long.

I like the large checkers and that the storage bag has different checker games and rules printed on it. I found the rug / board to be loosely woven and felt I had to stabilize each side with my sewing machine. I honestly feel that if you were to machine wash it like it says you can, it would fall apart.
