I get these potato’s because to make a meal you only have to peel a few, also they’re easy to peel because they’re smooth. These do take a longer time to cook because of their size. The flavor isn’t too strong like other potato’s. They aren’t the cheapest but aren’t too expensive. They’re worth it
I ALWAYS buy the 8lb bag of ‘bakers’…you can Always cut up/down a Big potatoe, but, you’ll play ‘havoc’ trying to get a ‘baker’ out of a dinky spud! These potatoes are in fresh condition, %26 wonderfully large for a meal-size amount, Dependably! They’re priced a tad more, but, well worth the peace of mind when needed. Definitely Recommend!
I love these! Just rinse them off pat them dry and put them in a ziplock bag. Pop them in the microwave and 6 minutes later you have the perfect lunch with just a topping or 5. Lol!! I also love them for dinner it’s a quick and easy side. They go well with everything.
We love these potatoes. Will only buy them. So far since the first bag we have bought 7 bags. Why? They are huge huge huge and soooo delicious and keep a long time fresh. Other ones we have bought went bad small and bad spots inside, etc. You will not go wrong trying a bag of these potatoes. We hope Walmart keeps these in stock. A long time shopper inside and pick up and pharmacy. Thank you Walmart.
Well worth the extra if you want large solid potatoes for bakers or long fries /wedges. I got these for just that. I will get the smaller ones to use in stews and soups but these are really all nice BIG potatoes. No weird shapes or %232 run sliced damaged, with the proper toppings each one could be a meal in itself!
These are normal sized potatoes, not jumbo. I normally buy the regular 5 lb bag of russet potatoes and get a little tired of peeling all the small potatoes to make mashed potatoes. So, thought I’d try the “jumbo” russets in the 8 lb bag. Yes, they are bigger than the ones in the 5 lb bag, but really just normal sized potatoes. If you truly want jumbo, try the big box stores.
We've been buying these "jumbo potatoes" for a long time now, but lately we are being scammed. I open the bag and the top 3 or 4 potatoes are indeed jumbo sized, but the rest of the bag are regular sized potatoes. We are not paying for total pounds, we are paying specifically for extra large, "jumbo" potatoes, not the same size we could buy in a cheaper pack of standard Idaho potatoes! Walmart better stop cheating folks!
very disappointed with the quality of the potatoes from this bag. There are supposed to be 8 lbs JUMBO Baking Potatoes. It contained 2 nice size (not Jumbo) and the rest of them are the size you get in a regular 10 lb bag of russet potatoes and they all had rotten spots. I had to bake 3 potatoes to make 2 servings too be able to have a JUMBO Baked potato. I have been purchasing this item 1-2 a month for the past few years, so I know what should be in the bag. would recommend purchasing in store yourself and checking the contents before buying.
These potatoes were supposed to be jumbo however they could not even be called large. They were small and I could not use them for what I needed. This is the first time that’s happened, as they are usually jumbo and live up to their name, but this time the name failed them
I bought an 8 lb. bag of jumbo russet potatoes for a loaded baked potato bar, salad, and breadstick party. The potatoes were great in size, but when sliced open they all ( except for 2) had black spots inside. Some went from one end to the other. I don't know if they were wormholes or what they were, but no one wanted to eat them. They looked gross. So all of my brisket, pulled pork, and chicken did not get used to top the potatoes. My guests had salad and breadsticks. See picture of potatoes
