Love the nostalgic vibe. Got them for my kids. Want them doing more kid stuff outside and these were one of the first things that came to mind. I loved jumping rope as a kid and am still super good at it. lol I want that for them to be able to look back on and have as a core memory as well and someday inspire and show off to their own kids. I loved the first pack I ordered in 2020, as the rope beads were a type of rubber. The new pack that arrived a few days ago were: one rope ( the blue and white one) had hard plastic beads, but I gave it a chance as my children needed these ropes for PE at school. My son cdd as me back after 4 days and showed me how the beads had broken off! I checked the other 2 colors ( pink and green ropes) and thankfully they had rubber beads so they held up much better! Also to note, you will have to sand down some edges on the handles in this set because they are rough plastic-?unlike the original set that had rubber handles. However, since this was a set that would only and strictly be used by 2 young children in elementary school and only for PE classes 4 days a week, it wasn't a huge deal. However, I would not recommend these for adults or for anyone who seriously jumps for fitness/sport. I am including a pic of the broken-beaded jump rope and cheap handle. Also the green pictured is not green and purple ( in case anyone is really set on those colors, it's green and light green.

The rope is very light weight, small wind blows it off. It's so light weight I felt it's a toy rope not an actual rope where kids can have fun.

The "beads" are plastic and break off the cord when used.
