This Triceratops toy is really good quality. My 7 year old is OBSESSED with dinosaurs and Jurrassic Park/World. He plays with this toy constantly. He likes the road it makes and says it has action attack.
These Roarivores are wonderful toys for little ones. First, the price is spot on, it's a great value. Then, the legs and arms are movable. The button along the back of each one makes a 'roar' sound and makes the head move or the jaws open. Everything works fine for little fingers. They seem to be plenty sturdy, my grandson had dropped them a hundred times, picks them back up and they all work just fine. He especially likes the head and jaw movement. He lines them up, counts them - we play dinosaur games. Just one thing - these are not bath toys. I'd like to see more of these.
Dinosaurs are a huge hit in my household and I was so excited when this series came out. I love that they are slightly bigger than most the dinosaurs that I have seen and their are so many varieties. We have a bunch and my kids play with them consistently.
This triceratops is awesome, the colors seem so true to a triceratops (well as much as I can imagine it would look)! Has a nice roar when you press the button. This is one of my sons top favorites out of all of his dinos & he has a bunch! So this gets played with DAILY!!! Seems to be holding up pretty well he's had for about a year now & only some paint on the horns have seemed to have worn off, which is expected I supposed for as much as he plays with it. If you have a dinosaur lover then this is definitely one you should purchase!! :)
This is really great. I was concerned about the horns breaking or being painful if poked by them, but they are sturdy and well designed to not hurt. Very impressed with this.
Perfect for my dinosaur loving grandson.
My dino loving little one loves his triceratops!
My son is 6 years old and really and truly loves this! He carries it around with him everywhere he goes! I like that it looks very realistic and the price isn't too bad. It also roars and opens its mouth which he really likes. He sometimes even sleeps with it. The reason its 4 stars is that my son has already went through about 4 of these because the heads break off! So even at a good price it gets expensive to keep replacing it. Also I'm afraid if they stop selling it he will be very disappointed when his last one breaks. Hope this is helpful to someone.
To put it short, this is a toy of great quality. The sculpt is amazing, and possibly the most film-accurate in the toyline. The paintjob is pretty well done for what it is. It's pretty posable for as well, and can even balance on only two legs (if you can find the center of balance) The action feature is spot on and eye pleasing, and the sounds are all so fitting (it does annoyingly have one T. rex roar, like all the other Roarivores, but it's pretty elephantine so it fits decently regardless) and the plastic feels solid, and not at all cheap. But, it's not perfect. I understand that the action feature is pretty simple in nature, but Triceratops as a creature would've fit better size-wise as an Action Attack figure. It doesn't size up as well as it should with the Thrash N Throw T. rex. The tail is longer than it should be, and the head not as large; even the movie's Trike had fixed proportions. But, for what it is, it's a solid figure, and still my favorite in the line. Would definitely recommend to your child if he/she wants a rival for his/her carnivores, or any collector looking for a nice herbivore figure.
