Jus-Rol Flaky & Layered Puff Pastry Sheet, Pre-Rolled Refrigerated Dough, 13.2 oz, 1 Sheet, For Sweet or Savory Baking

Love this stuff, just open it up and put it on a pan, i used my own parchment paper. No rolling or connecting seems, i kept mine in the refrigerator several days before i used it. I made like a ham and cheese strudel, put sliced cheese and ham down the middle then used a pizza cutter to make strips on each side then alternated sides folding the dough over the ham and cheese. Then i brushed egg wash over the dough and baked at 425 until golden. It was so flakey and everyone wanted more, next time ill make 2

My normal puff pastry is Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Frozen Pastry Dough Sheets, 2-Count. Today I decided to purchase Jus-Rol Puff Pastry Pre-Rolled Refrigerated Dough, 13.2 oz. Each of these products has a different texture and performance. I love both. The jus-rol is much easier to unroll and shape, but it is not as flaky when it bakes up. The Pepperidge Farm is more stiff and breaks into three pieces if not allowed to rest to room temperature before unfolding(not rolled up like the jus-rol). However, the final baked product is more buttery and flaky. Each is good, just depends on what you're making with it! I used Pepperidge Farm for ham and cheese breakfast pastries. I used jus-rol to make chocolate filled pastries.

I keep this puff pastry in my freezer. I unroll each layer flat. Then, I place them in a large freezer bag with freezer paper between the layers. I use the large layers for the top of my chicken pie. I will sometimes take a pizza cutter and cut wide strips. Place those in freezer bags with freezer paper between each layer. For a quick dessert, I will take the pastry strips out and place ready to use cream cheese or pie filling on each strip, fold it over, press the sides together, and bake. This makes the most delicious puff pastries. It's definitely a staple in my meal plans.

This puff pastry is great. First, it’s non gmo, a huge plus for me to begin with. I used this to make apple turnovers and they turned out great, not only fresh out the oven, but even the next day. They are sometimes hard to catch in stock, so get a few when you can. The taste of the puff pastry is homemade, as if you made it yourself. H tv is will be my go to anytime I need it. My next recipe to try is a Philly cheesesteak puff pastry. I already know as long as my Philly part is good, it will turn out great!

This baked up perfectly. It was so flaky and crispy well also holding up well. I love that. It is also vegan. It made the best strawberries and cream puff pastry bites.

Love this product! it is the best solution for puff pastry recipes, so easy to use and last in the refrigerator for weeks until you need it. I always keep one on hand and don't have to wait for it to thaw. I like the taste and texture, not quite as flaky as the frozen varieties of puff pastry. Great for sweet or savory recipes.

OMGOOOOOODNESS! I am so glad I listened to the review section about this dough. I decided to start making my own treats since everything in the store is so unhealthy or cost an arm and a leg. This dought is affordable, rolled thin but bakes so soft, buttery and FLAKY. My kids are so picky and even they approved of this. I made a fritter with Strawberry glaze and creamcheese, then rolled it up and sprinkled sm cinnamon and powder sugar on top, baked it on 425 for 15 mins and OH MY....we cudnt even wait until the treats cooled down they were so good. I will def add this to the favs list and repurchase 2 at a time. I also bought a can of apple pie filling to make sm personal apple pie fritters, BUY THEM!

Tried these since they are not frozen and seem less expensive than the frozen ones. The package clearly states they are not real butter, but I didn’t see that and was in a hurry. Call me a snob, but these are nothing like the all-butter, frozen brand. You’d think they would taste similar, but they don’t. These might do in a pinch, but if you’re making anything special, especially something sweet, I’d not use these. Just pay a little more for an all butter product if you can, and take the time to thaw it. Use these only if you have to and only if your flavors are strong enough to cover the off-taste. Maybe these could work for a savory pot-pie or something meaty. But I don’t recommend for desserts.

Nothing in the package. Pastry was thin and when baked, fell apart. Barely enough to make any recipe. A tiny ten inch rectangle. Give you one, not 2. Pepperidge Farm is better and costs a little more. So get that.

the instructions say to use the paper that comes with the pastry. i did that, and caught my oven on fire after 13 minutes!! the pastry was still raw on top and burnt on bottom. i bake with puff pastry all the time, im not new to it. this product is dangerous!!
