I personally love this product however i rarely purchase it since the item is almost always expired. I've noticed that the shoppers frequently pick out expired items like this and produce and still pack it in our deliveries which is not RIGHT! My motto is if you wouldnt eat it, don't sell it to someone else. This laack or awareness and consideration is what forces us to leave these bad reviews and tarnishes the name of the company. I love walmart delivery and want to continue using it as I'm sure is the same for others. Walmart, please make your associates who pack the delivery orders exercise careful selection based off quality instead of convenience!
I've never been all too big on eggs, but I do LOVE an occasional plain hard boiled egg, or egg-shredded carrot-apple cider vinegar-extra virgin olive oil salad. As well as a pan fried maple syrup egg topped with ketchup . This is what I'd sometimes eat growing up. I got food poising from eating scrambled eggs one time (couldn't even keep water down) and now my love for eggs have dwindled significantly. Also found out I'm egg white and yellow intolerant. Wich sucks. I still got mad fried egg/egg salad cravings a few times a year. So I thought I'd try this stuff. I managed to make a scramble using a ton of oil a few times, but mostly I'm not good at cooking with this just egg. (Did taste great the few times it turned out well though. Made it with young green chard from a friend's garden, olive oil Zwiebelschmalz and garlic). Thought I'd try baking with it instead. It's GLORIOUS when used for baking. There's something called a depression/war/wacky cake that uses oil, baking soda, flour, and water. Nothing else. There's also a bread version of this. For the cake I like adding lemon juice or vanilla to the batter, and making a sugar-water-lemon-rosemary glaze. For the bread I add fresh sage or rosemary/sun-dried-tomatoes/sunflower-seeds. Bread tastes great with tomatoes/olive oil/apple-cider-vinegar or turned into German dumplings. However they all crumbled. Substituting some of the water with cashew milk and this egg replacement made a world of a difference. It didn't crumble at all, didn't burn on the outside, and bothe the three cakes and the loaf of bread I baked legitimately looked like the “normal” stuff. The first time I used this egg to bake I was so excited I took pictures for half an hour, couldn't get myself to eat the food, and just looked at it for a few hours. Only ate it when a fly started to approach it. I was afraid it would taste odd, but I had never baked a better bread, or cake before in my life. I made 4 different ones and added different ratios and flavors to everything, as well as baked all in different sized forms. Every single one tasted, looked, and held up fantastically. I'll never forget how proud I was. I even called my grandmother to show her all my creations. If you too, would like to bake without egg I HIGHLY SUGGEST trying it. If it doesn't work out the first time, try a few more. It was so worth it for me :)
What many non vegan fail.to understand is that vegan made products are not animal products for a good reason. we don't believe in animal cruelty. That this priduct has to taste exactly like egg is moot. It's close enough for thise of us that what to transition to a cruelty free product. as for the taste, I loved eggs prior to becoming vegan 9 years ago. And while it isn't a dire need any longer, I do occasionally enjoy an omelet or scramble egg dish. one this that may help is adding some Black salt. It gives the egg flavor when added to flavor. Buy a small quantity and look for Googled information and or YouTube. I think the fact that this product is cholesterol free is a plus to the real egg. My only complaint is that it is not available enough. Walmart and other sources run out. Of course this could be because of the pandemic. Why else would Walmart not want a product that is very popular and profitable. Please stock more.
I really enjoy the taste and don't even need to add much salt or pepper. The texture is wonderful, fluffy and extremely similar to a chicken egg. I've only purchased once and eaten 3-4 times thus far and plan to purchase it at least once a week, if not more.
Two words: Highly impressed. The texture is on point, of course it doesn't taste just like egg, but mixed in with hash browns and sauce, I still really like the flavor. The only thing is that it seems like it needs a little more butter than regular eggs do.
I have loved eggs for a long time until I started getting the worst indigestion after eating them. I made a sample with just salt and pepper and was surprised at how good it was. I used more to make scrambled eggs as i would and thw flavor is great. I'm totally cool with this as an egg replacement. The price sucks but its worth it.
amazing! I'm not vegan or even vegetarian, but I do enjoy vegetarian foods, and I am pleasantly surprised with this product. it actually Cooks up like scrambled eggs, of course the taste is off a little bit but it's not going to be the same as eggs as it's plant-based, but it's seriously not bad, I really like it! unfortunately, it's expensive.
I really love just egg. The only problem is almost every time I order this from Wal-Mart the product is expired. This time is was expired for over a week. PLEASE WAL-MART HAVE YOU'RE EMPLOYEES CHECK EXPIRATION DATES! I'm getting really tired of this.
Let me start by saying I love JUST egg. My complaint is against Wal-Mart. The order date for this product was November 17th and I went to use today November 22nd checked the expiration date and it expired on November 5th really disappointed in the OGP shopper not checking for out dated mdse.
really, don't bother wasting money or time with this. i tried to make "scrambled eggs" from this, sadly, wasn't even cooking through? it just remained a puddle of liquid even after letting sit on mediums heat. over 5 minutes trying to stir and scramble, nothing. it's a neat idea on paper but it doesn't meet expectations. also note, the bottle states "made in a facility that processes EGG". So, for those of you that are vegan or have a diet where you can't digest mammal products, you might need to simply pass on purchasing this item.
