We were NOT actually SHOPPING for a new TV. We did wish we had smartTV features and a somewhat larger screen than our 32-inch flat-screen, but were not on the hunt for a newer one. When we saw a name-brand JVC 43-inch smart TV for UNDER $200, we couldn't resist. It is GREAT! Easy to set up, easy to use, great picture and sound -- we LOVE it! The design of the remote isn't the best one we've ever used but it works and is simple. If we had it to do over again, we DEFINITELY WOULD BUY IT AGAIN.
This JVC smart tv is a must-buy for the 43-inch size. What I love most about this tv is how elegant and sleek it looks mounted upon the wall of my bedroom, which in effect, enhances the ambiance and look of the room. More than just looks, this smart tv is packed with all the possible streaming channels and services a person could ask as well as three different HDMI outlets to plugin consoles and other devices. I cannot stress enough how much you should buy this TV if you are looking for one that is 43 inches. The negative reviews seem a bit picky and seem to affect the retailer, Walmart, rather than the product itself. This product, simply put, is just gorgeous and works so well as a conduit to watch movies and shows as well as play video games. Happy shopping!
Its perfect for our bedroom. The sound is so clear and the picture too. I haven't tried all the extra stuff; but I am happy with my purchase. I used the mount/installation service. That was a wonderful choice too. Person came as they stated. TV mounted in less than an hour. Beautiful job.
Unbelievable low price 4k tv with Roku built in. I'm an old JVC repeat customer and the price for this is just icing on the cake. Bought to replace a 32" 1080p bedroom tv (Sharp Aquos some years old). This is a smart tv with three HDMI connections, ARC on one of them. If you're a fan or user of Roku you'll love that it is native on this TV. I knocked off the 5th star for "tinny" sound, may want to utilize a small 5.1 or bettter entertainment center for that issue (I did). Great bargain TV.
Lots of bang for your buck Real nice picture and I love the smart TV options. I don't care for the location of the HDMI ports and aux The location is very low on the back side I would prefer the convenience of the side so you don't have to move the tv each time you add or subtract a device. That's my only issue Nice product overall
I'm rating this item as 4 stars because I've ordered 2 the first one arrived on time and everything was good condition but the second one was damaged it was like some took a nife and stabed it right in the middle of the box and I set the TV up it was damaged right where the hole in the box was...but lucky walmart its good on there return policy because that would have been money down the drain for me
For just plain watching streaming TV it's okay. Once you try to do more, there are problems. In the settings it says you can do screen mirroring (wirelessly beam content from your laptop, phone or tablet to watch on the big screen TV) but I can't get this to work either with the TV alone, or with a mirroring dongle like Screen Beam or MiraScreen. The HDMI inputs are positioned in such a way that there's no clearance for a normal HDMI cable to plug in unless you practically fold the cord in half right under the port, not so good for the cable connection. And using the HDMI connection, the sound seemed muffled. Maybe because you can't plug the cable in straight, you must bend it. So for a good inexpensive no-frills TV, it's okay, just not great for any add-ons, either wireless or HDMI based.
I am very disappointed with this company. I purchased this TV as a gift for my daughter's birthday. The TV did not last for 2 months, and it broke. I contacted Walmart customer service and because it was over a month I had to contact JVC customer service. I was sent toa repair center which is the only one open about 35 minutes from my house. I delivered the TV I was told the TV can't be repaired and It has been 2 months No TV no Money and I don't know what is going on. I would never buy a JVC product in my life.
The tv I purchased will not connect to wireless network. It scans for networks but keeps saying “no networks found”. We threw out the box the same day we mounted tv on wall so we can’t return to store purchased. I’ve called JVC customer service at least ten times after I set up a claim on 10/20, to find out status and I keep getting the run around. Frustrated and annoyed.
Broke already and hasn’t even been a year yet. Purchased February 24th last year. 1st Aline appeared in the middle of the screen after a few months in. Wasn’t sure what to do because i purchased it on the Walmart app and didn’t keep the box either. But was like oh well it’s a thin line, at least it still works. Could be worse. Well 2 days ago go to turn on the tv and the sound is playing but the screen is black. From what I’ve read this is a common issue with this particular tv. I think it should have a year warranty but I’m not sure how to follow up on that. I wouldn’t recommend this tv because how quickly it broke. I will say it had a great picture and I loved it right until I didn’t because it hasn’t even lasted a year
