It works well. It absorbs odor and oil very well and smells good. Doesn't leave any white streaks in hair. Great for touch ups if you have oily, greasy hair. Says it's meant for light hair but I'm dark brunette and it blends in just fine. I love the powder puff applicator. So much easier than using a spray and no fumes.
The hair model pictures are of my husband because I couldn’t get pictures of my head. Anywho, we like the smell. It is light and non offensive. The plastic piece was slightly difficult to get out of the jar, but no big deal, we solved it with tweezers. The powder came out more quickly than I thought it would, but now I will know for next time. Sprinkled a little. Used the foam piece and our hands to rub it in. It really worked and took away the greasy look that had been there! Moderately priced. Works as described! Will use fairly frequently as I don’t wash my hair on work from home days, so this will work nicely! I recommend! Husband recommends too!
I got this as an alternative to aerosol dry shampoo and I'm very impressed! The powder is very fine, so it comes out of the sponge very easily (a little goes a loooong way) and excess can be finger combed through the rest of the hair. HOWEVER the "light hair" powder is white and leaves a slight color difference in my brown hair - you can easily make yourself look like you're wearing a dry dusty wig if you're not careful. I would buy the "dark hair" powder for anything darker than dirty blond hair. I didn't wash my hair for 3 days for this review (y'all are welcome) and the powder got rid of all the oil. It didn't really give it more "volume" so much as a little more grip in the hair from the powder.
I purposely didn’t wash my hair for 4 days to test effectiveness. My hair was oily when I used it, worked well covering unwashed hair and did give a nice volume . Would be best for someone with less grey hair but nice.
Works great for absorbing oil and adding instant volume. The powder is lightweight, easy to apply, and doesn’t leave a heavy residue. Hair looks fresher between washes, with a clean, subtle scent. Compact packaging makes it convenient for travel or daily touch-ups.
I ordered the JVR Dry Shampoo Powder because, let’s be honest—every woman needs a good dry shampoo. Washing your hair every single day just isn’t practical (or great for your hair), so having something reliable to refresh in between washes is a must. This one really impressed me. The powder formula does a great job absorbing oil at the roots and instantly making my hair look fresher and more voluminous. It gives a nice lift without feeling heavy or leaving behind that chalky residue some dry shampoos can have. I also love that it’s a non-aerosol option. It feels like a more environmentally friendly choice compared to traditional spray cans, and the compact size makes it perfect for travel or tossing in a purse for busy days. The built-in puff applicator is a really nice touch. It makes application easy and controlled, without creating a mess. Just a few taps at the roots and my hair looks refreshed and revived. It’s especially helpful on rushed mornings, after workouts, or anytime I need a quick refresh. Overall, this is a convenient, effective, and travel-friendly dry shampoo that I’ve really enjoyed using. It’s become a go-to for extending time between washes while still feeling put together.
This browline powder is amazing—it blends seamlessly into my hairline and instantly makes my hair look thicker and fuller without looking messy.
I bought this as an alternative for dry shampoo while traveling and can't have aerosol. I want it to solve all of my problems, but it has a hard time blending into my brown hair because the brown of my hair is different from the brown in the bottle. It does help soak up oil and tie a little refresh, just don't use it near your part!
I have very fine hair that gets greasy after 8 hours. I do like that this is dark colored, but the color comes off on everything! There is dark color on my hands, hair brush, and now my hand towel. It did cover up some of the oil, but not all of it. I had high hopes for this dark hair dry shampoo. It was disappointing.
This looks very well made and easy to use. However, I received an expired product so I will not try it.
