My Nadja, a lab/terrier mix, is a fast eater. She would eat big mouthfuls, not chew, swallow and then choke. I had a different brand of slow feeder bowl that was slippery. I dropped it and it shattered. This bowl is must easier to grip because of the full rubber edging and easier to pick up because of the rounded cut outs for my fingers. And the best part is the sectioned bowl stops Nadja from eating fast. Those divided sections stop her from trying to eat huge mouthfuls. It is exactly what we both needed.

My sister bought something like this for her dog from Amazon and as soon as my dog smelled food on the plastic, she chewed it all up! I bought this one because it looked thicker and more rugged than my sisters... I was correct! She carries it all over and uses it as a teether (shes still a pup) and its holding up great!

This bowl seems to work pretty well for our longer-snouted German Shepherd. He still seems to get through his food pretty quick, but it still takes more time than it used to. Since we elevate his bowl, we had to get a bit creative because the rubber feet do not keep him from pushing it around. I don't know how it would work on a linoleum floor. Overall I'm very happy with the product.

I suppose it slowed down the gobbling of my 55lb lab mix slightly, but he took a big chunk out of the side of the bowl a week after we got it. We don't let him chew on it but he bit it hard once, it's just thin plastic and broke a piece off. It is also by no means anti-skid. This thing ends up all over the room until it gets wedged against a wall.

Bowl is not as represented. The information on the site says it is l0.50 x 10.50 x 3.75. This is not true. The inner area of the bowl is about 7 inches across. It is 2.5 inches deep. I cannot use it for my medium size dog but in the future I plan to get a small dog and can use it then. It's not worth sending it back. It's a nice bowl and I have two like it that are the size they say this one is so I know what it is supposed to look like. If you have a dog larger than 25 lbs this bowl is too small.

I thought this would be the same as another medium sized bowl that I needed to replace, but this thing is tiny. Someone said that it works for their miniature schnauzer.. well that's just about the right size for this. It's 'WAY too small for my terrier and doesn't work at all for my black lab.
