Great tasting and nutritious. I'll buy it again.
I've been using this product for a while now, and I am genuinely impressed with its quality and effectiveness. It's clear that great care has gone into crafting something that not only meets expectations but exceeds them. The results have been consistent, and I appreciate how seamlessly it integrates into my daily routine. The ingredients feel thoughtfully chosen, and the overall experience has been exceptional. Whether you're new to this type of product or a long-time user, I highly recommend giving this a try – it's definitely worth it!
I like that this is non fortified (only because I want to avoid folic acid when possible), this is way lower in vitamins than the fortified version, on one hand it not having added folic acid is nice but also it lacking in other vitamins in comparison to fortified one is a downside, nothing wrong with food fortification itself, it's just that folic acid is bad and proven to be inferior to natural sources which vegans can easily get enough of (non vegans may struggle with that vitamin). can you please make a version that's fortified but with the exclusion of folic acid?
Nutritional Yeast Flakes are a popular supplement among health enthusiasts, particularly in vegan and vegetarian diets. These yellow flakes are derived from a strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a type of yeast that is deactivated and often fortified with vitamins and minerals. Packaging is often clear, allowing consumers to see the product inside.
This is BY FAR my absolute favorite nutritional yeast product! I use it on many things because it has a delicate cheesey flavor and a subtle flaky texture. I recently ran out and couldn't find it in stock anywhere. I tried another brand and it was very good and my husband is now hooked, so he eats that one (it's gluten-free) and I am back to my dear KAL!
I usually order the smaller container but was pleasantly surprised to find that this container was full to the top so it has been lasting me a while. The B vitamins in the Imported variety are all naturally occurring which is important for all normal body functions because taking artificial vitamins in general is quite damaging rather than helpful.
I've tried nutritional yeast in the past and never liked it. I decided to take another chance with this brand and it tastes so much better! Unlike other nutritional yeast that has an almost musty smell, this one smells and tastes much lighter and nuttier. If you've never liked nutritional yeast but still want to try it for the health benefits, go with this variety and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Very helpful for blood sugar management and body metabolism. Significant benefits seen in early stage of use. Price increased by over 20% in two weeks which is very disappointing for repeat orders.I suggest to maintain last order prices for at least 90 days
I found 2 unfortified nutritional yeasts on iherb: this one and Foods Alive Superfoods Nutritional Yeast. Foods Alive has come out far ahead for me. Nutrition content: the Kal nutritional yeast states is much lower in vitamins then the Alive Superfoods. My understanding is that their claimed Vitamin levels are abnormally low, even for unfortified yeast. Taste: The Kal has large dry flakes. The Foods Alive is finer which is easier to mix into existing food. Subjectively it tastes better. After a month of only having the Kal and urging family to eat it nobody else was. After trying Foods Alive they strongly prefer it. There's hope it will become a supplement for the whole family now..
I don't know the realtions but I didn't read the instruction carefully and there was a note says candida albicans free and that didn't make me feel any good ! Now I'm afraid to consume!!! Plus the taste is kind of sweet not savory at alllll and it remains in your mouth so I have no idea what should I do with this big container ! Dev not buying again!
